What has always bothered me is Sauron's 9 fingers in the book. How the heck do you chop off ONLY one finger with a freakin sword??

(yeah I know, it's a book comment and kinda off-topic but I've been bugged by da durned thing since I was 10 and I didn't think it needed it's own thread)

I think they had only half his finget bitten off so they could make the scar look grosser. (Weren't all of Jackson's previous movies B-rate horrors? That explains the excessive amounts of camera given to the jello-coloured undead army.)
