Quest of the silmaril

STORY:a great war is raging between elves and orcs.The lord of the ors DETHMOR has i his possesion one of the two jewels of power the SILMARILS.with this jewel his armies are great in power and strenght and the elves are fighting a war which cannot be won.So finally king Finwe of the noldor calls for his greatest warrior fingolfin and sets him a task to find the other silmaril.if the elves gained possesion of this jewel their power would be to great for the darkness of dethmor.

for this RPG im gonna need some other warriors men,dwarves doesnt matter to help me find the jewel.also i might need some evil creatures who are also looking for the jewel for dethmor.

this rpg is set on middle-earth but there are some changes.there are no hobbits or dwarves and the land of the shire is called nargothrond that is the realm of the elves.dethmor resides in mordor.men live in gondor and rohan and do what they can for the war effort but being so close to mordor it is difficult for them.

The eldar elves know that the other silmaril is in the ruined and deserted tower of orthanc in the forsaken land of isengard.
but to hinder the getting of the silmaril dethmor has created many fortresses in dunland and hordes of orcs patrol that area.

the orcs avoid isengard as it is inhabited by a monstrous spider that is why they have not yet discovered the silmaril.
the southern marches of mirkwood are constantly under attack and soon the wood of mirkwood will fold if the elves recieve no aid

the elves of nargothrond have a line of defences across the grey flood and defend their borders from there.they send what help they can across the misty mountains and into mirkwood but they need every man to guard the borders.

and this is where the story begins.

Fingolfin sat at a hall in nargothrond.there was a war council being held he normally would not be called to.he was a captain and warrior and spent his days on the southern marches.

lord torgon had said it was time to strike and stop defending.
''for too long now have we defended our borders while the enemie is allowed to muster and grow stronger unheeded.few here have seen the great forts in dunland.every day they become stronger and filled with more orcs.it is my will that i shall lead an assault into dunland.we can then focus on making an alliance and treaty with the men of rohan and gondor.with the orcs in dunland out of the way we will have a straight road into the lands of the enemy''

The halls in nargothrond were bustling and many voices were crying out their minds
''we must not attack!''
''Now is the time!''

there was much disagreement when torgon cried
''together we stand divided we fall our minds must be of one!''
and the hall went quiet.
Through that day the war council proceeded and at midnight there were of one mind.To attack the orcs in dunland.

apart from the main force would be fingolfin.He would travel to isengard with Feanor to get the silmaril while the battle raged in dunland.
Turgon would lead a force of 3,000 elves armed in glittering mail,and tall white helms.
tomorrow they would depart for war.

i gothmog claim the role of kurufinwe spirit of fire(feanor).
I am now waiting ankciously for the quest to start.

The quest of the silmaril is starting now.and gothmog you dont have to write up stuff about feanor unless you want to write about your armour and weapons.

Fingolfin went to the armouries of Nargothrond at the bidding of turgon,here he should recieve some new weapons and armour of new design. In the armoury he found caeradros waiting for him.
''Greetings fingolfin i have some things for you''
he went into a seperate room and came out with a large bundle of things.
''here these are for you''

The mail was of shining silver and the rings were so closely knit that it looked as though it was a shirt of silver silk.
Over this he was given a chestplate of tempered steel which was dulled grey but had patterns and carvings of gold upon it.
He was given a tall white helm with a band of mithril around the brow.
''now for your weapons'' and caeradros brought forth another bundle.
First given to him was a glittering blue sheild of the shape of a diamond.on it was the white tree and the 5 stars above it (the same emblem of the men of minas tirith).Then given to him was a longsword in a sheath of black leather studded with green and red jewels.
The blade was drawn and it shone and glittered like ice.
''This sword is called Angrator the 'iron eater' it can bite through any armour on middle-earth.there you are ready''
Fingolfin cast a grey cloak about him and set off to find his friend feanor.

Fingolfin rushed through the city of nargothrond seeing much movement and mustering.
He came to the southern gates and found there a force assembled.
Torgon on a white horse was at the head of the host.
''the time has come for us to strike a decisive blow in this war!
we shall no longer wait for the war to come to us we shall go to the war!''
and with that they marched off their spears and armour sparkling from the sun like some river of steel.

Fingolfin was now desperate to find feanor as he would not leave for battle without him.Fingolfin knew that feanor was not with that host as he always wore his red and black helm 'agollach'
which would have stood out among the silver helms.
A trumpet sounded and one of the kings messengers came at fingolfin.
''Fingolfin, captain of the south marches you have been called to the chamber of the king it is upmost importance that you come immidiately''

(I know that i chose to be Lord Manafirough but i've changed my mind. I like to be Turin son of Hurin. Turin will be king of Minas Tirith and would like to help on the fight against the Dark Lord.)

Hearing of the preparation of the war against the dark lord, Turin send 1000 men to The elfs to fight in the war. The men were well prepared: They bore long spears and had helms of great structure. They had armour made by dwarfs in their great halls and swords made by elfs. Some had mithril coats. Fast they rode upon their horses and soon they would arive in Nargothrong to join in one of the greatest war in middle earth.

The 1000 riders sent by turin were in great haste to reach nargthrond.But in their haste they did not send scout riders forward to check the gap of rohan.
There waiting in strategic trenches and armed with pikes and bows were 3 companies of Orcs.
They lit there arrows as the first rank of riders came on like a storm.
''FIRE!'' roared the orc captain and many men fell dead peirced by arrows in their faces.But the riders were hardened veterans of many wars and the quikly run down the company of archers.The Orc pikemen charged forward from their trenches and drove some men from their horses.there was a feirce battle but the superior power of the men crushed the orcs.The last and biggest companie of orcs were armed with great sheilds and curved scimitars.they broke the ranks of men on foot and drove into the line of horses.But the captain of the men was a great man the son of turins sister.He rode on his silver horse hewing the orc heads with his axe 'Dramboleg' which was passed down from Tuor turins cousin.The battle was soon over and the riders were still in great power though some had lost their horses.They then stayed furthest west until they came to the elven realm of Nargothrond.
