Interesting Matchups...

Interesting matchups and their outcomes... while reading another post on another thread I got to wondering, what would some awsome duels be!? Some unlikely and sometimes unfair battles! With all considered would the underdog sometimes win!? I know I can think of a few, and I know you all have some interesting duels, post them here then we can argue(logicly!) over who would be victorious! Anything goes, any book, any race, any sex, good, evil... lets duel!

I suggest the first duel in question be... Peregrin Took after War of the Ring events V.s. Meriadoc Brandybuck als oafter War of the Ring events!?

They have both grown taller,and both been through great battles! Pippen is slightly younger and that may be a disadvantage in height, weight, and power. Yet It could be an advantage in speed. I think with all things considered Merry would come out on top, he seems more war hardend after the WotR.

yeah I would go with Meriadoc. He was more courageous as he helped take down the king of the Nazgul. ALso he was slightly taller and probably a lot stronger. An interestin gmatchup I would like to see would just be a down and out duel between Eomer and Faramir. Two rounds. One on horseback and the other on foot. I have to give it to Eomer because he would kill Faramir on horseback and he was also probably a great swordsman. However, Faramir also has a good shot on the duel on the ground. It would be close.

Arwen and Eowyn would be a good one. Elven maiden against shield-maiden of Rohan. I think Eowyn would come on top of that because of her courage and skill in battle.

okay so yeah Eowyn kills her without a second thought. Eowyn and Arago get married. Elrond stays nehind seeking revenge and kills Eowyn then Aragorn kills Elrond for killing hsi bride. Then Elves rerturn and wage war against men and win. SO if Eowyn faced Arwen for Aragorn the consequences would have been disastrous.

Of course the HAradrim would win. The Haradrim could win with a ll 4 limbs tied up. Besides they are just cooler!

What about Faramir vs Boromir. I'm not sure because both were great warriors.

Farimir was moreof a ranger of gondor and boromir was more of an infantryman of gondor, i would give it to Faramir due to his greater abilities in stalking, and long ranged attacks. not to mention he wasntbad behind a sword.

I give it to Boromir because he was the better hand to hand warrior. If it was just who is the better all around I give it to Faramir but since this is like a celebrity death match I give it to Boromir. Also Boromir was more than an infantry man of GOndor he was heir ot the stweard ship he could have destroyed every other gondorian there.

Well I don't mean ordinary infantryman but it was like his... area of experties, like Eomer as a horseman, or Faramir asa Ranger. When talking about Boromir V. Faramir, their lineage has no point since they come from the same house.

yeah but it this a one on one cage match or like there in a forest and they have to hunt each other down. In the first Boromir in the second Faramir
