Most fantasy books tend to lead the stereotypical Dragons, Wizards, Elves, and Knights. (The Lord of the Rings does not apply to the stereotypes) I have a certain liking for books with depth. What I'm saying is that it isn't difficult to come up with a plot about heirs and Elves and then pick actors and actresses to do the movie.

I've been following the Ancanar project, and saw the trailer a while ago. I think it's a pretty impressive effort for what is essentially an independent fan film. If it actually manages to find release within a few leagues of where I am, I'd see it. I don't really delve into much fan fiction in general, so I'm not prejudiced there either way.
