Favorite Fantasy creature

Like the heaing says what's your favorite creature of fantasy?It can be anything from inside LOTR(ie.Hobbits,Elves,Dwarves,Balrogs)to the general genre of fantasy(ie.Dragons,griffins,unicorns).I vote the dragon.

DEFINATELY dragons (hence the screen name). griffins are a close second though
