Well they'll have the skiing and snowboarding events in the mountains. Just like HALF the 2012 Olympics would take place in New Jersey if "New York" gets them. It really should be called the NJ/NY Olymipcs - since as it stands right now - NJ would be hosting both the opening and closing ceremonies at the Meadowlands.

By the way - congratulations to Gimli too.

if they are going to whistler it will snow plenty. when i went there it was snowing in april and if there isnt enough there they could always go to grouse or cypress.

Well, good luck getting tickets. I lived in Atlanta during the '96 summer olympics, and hardly anyone got tickets. I thought the people who lived there should at least get to see one event if they wanted to!

Can you guess which two events I tried to get tickets for?

(archery and fencing

).

Anyway, enjoy them, Vancouver!

at the last one, this gurl in my class got to go to all the hockey games just because her dad is Steve Tambolini (GM of team Canada hockey). she siad it was so much fun and in am gonna try to go to at least 1 team canada hockey game. Hopefully its against USA so i can watch them kick some american a$$

You need to write to them and tell them that New Jersey needs to fight for a better image. There is so much to do here and no one even knows it. Anyway - just got off the phone with the Vice Prsesident of Advertising and Communications as Liberty Science Center and also a person from Save Ellis Island.

I know this is the Vancouver Olympic site - but I just found out that if we get the Olympic Games - that the broadcasters are going to say they're in NY during the Opening and Closing ceremonies - even though they'll be taking place at the Meadowlands in New JERSEY. We have 9 years though to change the name of Giants Stadium so EVERYONE knows that they're taking place in New JERSEY.
