Ha JD - I completed it with completely opposite answers (I used only the negative answers & stuff one would generally associate with other countries) and it still came up as USA! (Is it supposed to do that?)

Frankly that's a load of .........of course I am:

South Africa - A very cultural nation with many modern-day strifes. Infested with crime, disease, and political strife, it faces a constant uphill struggle.

Positives:
Aiming for Change.
Global Support.
Very Unique Culture.

Negatives:
Crime and Political Strife Rampant.
Under Constant Scrutiny.
Very Hot.

Whoever wrote the descriptions have no clue, but hey, what can we expect - it was done by someone from far away who has no real perspective of the world outside his own borders ) We are most certainly not infested with disease (see - typically they just throw us into a heap with deep dark Africa ). Sure AIDS is problematic, but there are many cultural factors that add to the problem, which of course the rest of the world has no clue about & would have difficulties in comprehending. And crime in this country is by no means more prevalent than most other countries in the world - the problem comes in with the lack of resources to control it effectively (and of course the stupid laws our ministry makes to protect criminals, then they wonder what to do about the rise in amount of cop killings - stupid goddamned government ).

Ag damn - almost let myself go now about the complexities of the SA governance & the continued influence of tribal law & customs on the politics of the country. But I won't, promise This is not the place for it.

And what the hell does he mean VERY HOT? As in climatic or politically? And how is that a negative?

Baby-K - now you know what it's like when we hear what people who have never been to America think about us. They only see us through our movies and fast food restaurants that dot the world. Or the "news" stories they decide to report - not much else.

Most people outside the US don't understand our justice system, our Constition, state rights, or the concept of balance of power, our size or our diversity. But this doesn't stop them from making ridiculous and ignorant statements about America.

I don't want this to be how our country is thought of or your country. Personally - I would not have thought fastfood would be a positive - I think our diversity if a positve. But it's just a joke thing - and each country has one ridiculed item they add in there. I also don't think we're elitists - we're proud. The outside world may view our pride as being elitist - but that's their problem.

I know it's a joke, which is why I didn't let myself go (besides, I don't take the comments / descriptions seriously, unfortunately others might). But in a way we have all dealt with prejudice etc based on what is portrayed in the media - hell, according to media reports I should be a millitant racist, toting around a shotgun & killing all black people who cross my path - nothing could be further from the truth though so blech to them.

I just found it amusing that I put in answers like

if I were on a battlefield I'd be stealing from the wounded & hiding in the trenches, my fave food would be Sausage & Sauerkraut, in debate I'd bribe the opponent to lose / not show up / bring friends and with the security threat part where your enemy has stolen a warhead or whatever I put I'd congratulate my neighbour on their excellent policies - basically jokingly choosing all the negative / arb things

and it still came up as America (though the one time I picked literally every negative thing it came up as Iraq)

I got America first and then just started changing the answers. I got Australia, Switzerland (random selection), Russia (by choosing the drinking answers, I told Khamul this would either give Russia, Germany or Britain), Japan by changing one of the my US answers.

I put a few things that to me symbolised a defeatist attitude & it then came up with SA (I previously cheated & went to the section of all possible results) - so now I'm really disgusted with this test!
