What if you were in the movie?
Suppose PJ never filmed the LotR and that Spielberg wanted to make his own version of the Lord of the Rings. He invites you to be on the movie, and you get to choose what character to play, whom would you choose to be?

Well idealy I'd be Legolas just for the fact that he's the greatest character in the books and I'd love to be part of the Fellowship but as I'm a girl I'll have to say Arwen just because SS wouldn't have to fork out on the wig- my hair is very much Arwen-esk Liv Tyler style and natural- I didn't have extensions because of the film!!! Also if they had someone v.sexy playing Strider I wouldn't complain. Mx

ET..........oops I mean Gollum (well they do look kinda similar, the eyes do anyway )
Seriously, it would have to be Faramir.........great character, let's hope PJ/the actor does him justice *can almost hear whispers of "fat chance"* |

Wow!! That would be a dream come true!!!
I would like to play Arwen! She wears really pretty dresses and gets to ride horses and see Legolas!! Someone nice would have to play Aragorn though!! Spielburg would never do a better job than PJ ever!!!!! |

Aragorn, defiently! He gets to do the coolest fight scenes, and he ends up becoming(SPOILER if you haven't read the books)
The King of Middle Earth! However, if Aragorn were taken , I'd have to choose Gandalf. |

Without a moments hesitation I'd want to be Eowyn. It's a dream role! As an actress myself, it really appeals to me - High action, high emotional development and drive. Quite a challenge. I hope Ms. Otto is up to it. Aside from the acting challenges that playing Eowyn would deliver, the role simply is the most common to myself. Very passionate, head-strong, potential for great deeds.
Call me Steven... you need look no further!

I would want to be Éowyn too. She is my favourite character from the books. I totally agree with everything Eowyn of Rohan said in her post!

Orc #8797... well, that's all I'd be fit for. I think my sister would pass as a young elf... and my cousin IS a hobbit! She's short, has curly hair, and... I dunno.

As you can see, I don't hang out here muchly anymore. There's a good reason for this. Y'see, I've been hanging out at a different chatboard called Cardboardia. So far, I've been havin' a blast. Not that I don't love the TLA, but the magic of Entmoot is lost on me. So, as soon as TLA ends, so will my existance here, probably. Who knows though? I might stay. Highly unlikely however. This is a good bye in advance, then. Unless you want to join me and my group of friends at Cardboardia. Cheers! |

Probably Eowyn or Arwen. I can already ride horses, and I would *love* to be a hobbit, but i think it would be weird seeing be that short! (considering I'm 5'7"!)

Well, I WANT to chop my hair off and be Pippin! But I'd still look like a girl. So...as I'm too SHORT for anything else, I could be Rosie!

First thing I would do is to see if the actress playing Eowyn (sorry, forget the name at the moment) is doing anything after filming. Second thing would be to ask Liv. Third: Rosie Cotton. Fourth: Cate.
Finally, after being shot down four times in a row (maybe more, depending on how many extras I ask), the fifth thing I would do is apply to be some random extra, probably a hobbit. I've never had acting lessons and my voice is not good enough for a speaking part. Plus I'm sort of shy around cameras. |

I would be Pippin even though I'm a girl! LOL!
You see I don't even have to act because I'm so much like him anyway! I've already played him at a show in our school and because he is my fav character I've memorised all the lines already! Lol! (You can call me sad if you want!) Thats just typical of me! I don't look much different to him either! (Apart from the hair but an expensive wig will do the trick or I could even get it done at a hairdressors!! Even though I would look a bit strange!) |

I'd be Legolas, and if he'd cut my lines short (as PJ did with Legolas) let's see if he...likes...his hair cut short
j/k or i'd sing the songs for the soundtrack! (no, i won't break the mic! )

Depends on how accurate this hypothetical movie is to the book!
Let's suppose for a moment that the impossible has happened and it's going to be true to the LotR books, almost to the word. In that case I'd want to be Eowyn, great character there. However, if they had Arwen effectively take over Glorfindel's role (as happened in the real movie) then I might possibly want to be her. |

Well, since I'm a girl, I'd probably have to be Arwen, Galadriel, or Eowyn, and since Eowyn is the coolest by far, I'd be her.

Eowyn or Galadriel, unless I could be a guy, in which case I'd definitely want to be Grima Wormtongue. Who wouldn't want to be the evil, mind-poisoning, slimy git responsible for half the bad stuff, plus the death of Saruman?
