HI there, i'm all alone at home with my liking of stargate and wondering if anyone actually likes it apart from elfmaster, aldesign and I!

who's your fave charactor? mine's definateyl Jack, hes sooo funny.

anyway post soon i want to talk about stargate!

StrawberryIcecream: some new info about Stargate that you probably don't know :

- There is going to be a second Stargate movie coming out in 2003.

-After the new stargate movie, the Stargate series will end (either the current season: 6, will be the last or there might be a 7th)) and there will be a Stargate spinoff called Stargate: Atlantis . Obviously it has something to do with Atlantis, maybe the Ancients. It will not take place in the SGC but will have some familiar faces like Tok'ra and it will be set in the future.

- There will be a Cartoon version of Stargate coming in SEPTEMBER (of this year). I don't know if that will be airing accross the pond or not. It will be called Stargate: Infinity and it will take place like 20 years after the current series. Its a cartoon that will gear towards younger kids (like x-men, etc. those cartoons). It will be on the fox channel. I bet it will suck - but who knows.

Strawberry - you live in England right? Do they have Season 6 going on there? Jonas Quin is so ...weird. I liked Dr. Jackson better myself. He was one of my favorite characters. Him and Osirus.

Wow I think Season 6 is a little less than half way done, this might be the last season.

I honestly can’t remember you telling me I’m really sorry!

Season 6 starts around September here but I've seen pictures of Jonas Quin and I don’t think I like him. But I said that about Dogget in X files and I adjusted. I think after a while we'll like him more. I liked Jackson too, he was my second favourite character but he’s making guest appearances in this series apparently.

I’ve heard that Atlantis will take place with one of the under water gates (ya think?!).

Infinity I seriously doubt I will like as I don’t like cartoons that aren’t funny (FUTURAMA BABY!), don’t know about you. Plus. Look how Evolution cartoon and The Mummy cartoon versions turned out. I’m simply dreading an x files one.

You got any good sites? Does this count as advertising if I put my favourite stargate site ever up? I have no affiliation with it in any way.

I’m way looking forward to seeing the stargate movie; they’re about the same planning stage as the new x files one so they’ll probably come out at the same time.

Now I just have to find someone who likes stargate to go with me.

impossible. SOMEONE has to think it isn’t rubbish.

I really love the film more though. IT RULES!!!

But in SG-1 i like Jack too. He's so sarcstic, just like me

I do like Stargate sg1 its much better than the movie. Its a very good idea for a tv program. Its pretty comftable viewing nowt special and not amazing.

I watch the show occaisionally, but I don't make any real effort to watch it. I am trying to see the movie though, I saw the beginning and really liked it, but I didn't have time to see the ending.

its wicked! (i overuse that word) Its exactly my kind of show because it combines sci fi and ancient egyption mythology. Plus on some of the cartouches that come up now and then i can read the names!

And i can sometimes recognise some of the symbols in places. very rewarding!

I enjoy watching this Television entertainment program. My favourite character is O'Neill. My least favourite character is Carter.

they are casting the crew from Sg - 1 of course. Richard Dean Anderson, and all the others. Emmerson wanted to make a sequel to the first movie and he hates the series and has absolutely nothing to do with it (seriously, he doesn't. he doesnt work on the show, consult, or anything). The new movie will be a continuation of the stargate sg-1 series after the series ends. It will set the stage for the new spin off. Or something like that.

Was tonights whole episode that scientist's day dream?

. Is it just me or are the episode plots not what they used to be.

edit: at least i think it continues the storyline from the series :P

Emmerson was the guy who made the original movie right? I saw the special edition version a few months back and he went on and on about how he didnt like the series in the audio commentary. Anyway, the cast WILL be that from the series. Michael Shanks, Richard Anderson, Amanda Taping, Don Davis, whoever plays Jonas.

I really dont like carter as much as the others. She has her goood moments but i hate the way shes always got really wide eyes in an attempt to look all sweet and innocent. And im sorry but you cannot get make up that stays on THAT well! I mean she was in the pits of hell for two days and she still had all her make up on!

edit: oh and Jonas is played by Corin Nemec

In contrast to some others, I do like Carter because she's still the wide-eyed scientist. I can relate. Although I'd hardly say she's trying to act sweet. Good to see that all that military training hasn't destroyed that curiosity. A good complement to Daniel and a good foil for Jack and Teal'C.
Scientists rock!

Jack is hilarious. His deadpan is great.
Teal'C has the loveliest voice and is so funny when he does his little eyebrow thing.

I like what I've seen of the series, but since we don't have cable I haven't seen anything past the 3rd year. I think the series is more enjoyable than the movie was, probably because I like the cast better. Glad to hear the new movie will have the tv series cast.

I love stargate my favourite carachter is Thor. I also like the replicators. Pity about that other episode where they left that good one trapped in time.

I like Stargate (my sister is obsessed with it though!) and i sometimes watch it on Sky One in the UK. I prefer Season 6 because Jonas in it is quite funny. my sister thinks i am... "such a dumb ass!!! Jonas has only been in season six, apart from the last two episodes of season five but anyway. seriously though she's only watched a few of the episodes anyway so she can't really comment."
