I like it, too. Haven't seen much of the last few seasons 'cause we don't have cable and the local stations keep moving it around in the late night hours. Right now I can't find it on the schedule at all. Anyway... it was enjoyable watching the development of the relationships among the SG-1 team members. And I've been a fan of Richard Dean Anderson since the MacGyver series.

cee2lee2, what season did you see up until? SG-1 is now halfway through season 8 (resumes in Jan) and halfway through the new spinoff Stargate: Atlantis.

You can always rent the DVDs from blockbuster online or netflix - they have them up until season 7 for Stargate Sg-1.

Or you could try downloading the episodes from the internet.

I think just through 4 or 5 but i've seen episodes from later seasons here and there. Thanks for the info on renting! Don't know what kept me from thinking of that

Didn't know there was a spin-off. Did they spin off characters? or is there another SG team?

Yea, the spin-off is new.

They sent a large group of people through the gate to Atlantis - it is not a myth and it is not on earth.

The ancient city exists and was a home of the Ancients - the ppl who built the stargate, etc.

I guess you haven't seen Season 7, where they gear up to this.

Atlantis is in aother galaxy - too far away to be in contact with earth. It is an 8 symbol gate address and requires much power to establish a lock, so it is a one-way trip.

Yes - some characters from SG-1 series. Dr. McKay - he was in 2 or 3 episodes where he was brought on to help solve a problem and quarel with Dr. Carter. And Dr. Weir, civilian peace-negotiator brought on at the end of Season 7.

In the Pegasus galaxy (where Atlantis is) they fight the Wraith, a cool vampire like alien enemy race. No Goulds.

If you have heard of something called torrent, you could download all the episodes from the spin-off. Thats what I did

I have never really been a big fan, but i have watched bits and pieces of it. The one thing i can tell you is that i was an extra in one episode, back in 1999 or 2000. All i can remember is that i think it had something to do with an extremely smart child. ALl i did was chilsle (sp) in the backround.

I'm a total SG1 geek. But I'm not bad as my friend who has downloaded close to every episode. Everybody loves the original four though, right? O'Neill, Carter, Daniel and Teal'c are gods, false gods, but gods.

I haven't seen the new stuff because I don't have satellite in my flat. The first episode was good though.

I have downloads of nearly every episode. My friend has the dvds from season 1-5, so i've been borrowing them an er... copying the episodes from them

Download from net season 6-8.

Don't know when I'd watch them, but always nice to have.

Gollum you were an extra in an episode?

I think I know the one you mean. I was just watched it a few weeks ago. It is in season 3..................

After looking it up:
Learning Curve. Is that the episode you were an extra on?

This is one of my friend's fav. tv shows. I've seen a few episodes--the one where O'Niel turns into a kid is really funny, as is the one with WACKO!!!! and the ketchup/mustard on the plate.

Note this is all digging in the back of my brain for info, so if all that is totally mixed up please forgive me.

Yeah, the one with "WACKO" was one of most fun episodes. "Window of Opportunity," where the day keeps repeating over and over again and they are stuck in a time-loop ala Ground Hog's Day

I remember the other one you were talking about, but dont remember season or episode #. Probably season 7 though. too lazy to look it up.

I rarely remember names of episodes, unless they are memorable or recent in my mind. In the past 2 months I've been borrowing SG-1 dvds and watching episodes that i have not seen and my fav ones, so those episode names are stuck in my head.

Up to season 4 now, next I borrow season 5.

Anyone a stargate atlantis fan?

LoL, even if I had never watched a show before, if i was an extra on it, I would have made a point to even see the episode.

Last Child of Ungoliant, you mean in England? Yes, Stargate Atlantis is most certainly over there. Probably on Sky One, same as SG-1. It is on in Canada on TMC.

*excitedly hugs everyone in the thread*

I love Stargate! Unfortunately, I don't have cable, so I've gotta wait for it, but it be's worth it! An excellent stargate site---they even have episode transcripts! O'Neill is definetely the best---fo' sho. (Richard Dean Anderson is from my state, Minnesota!!!) Yep. Favorite recent quote: O'NEILL: You are so shallow.

JACKSON: (Drops his orange) Oh Please! Teal'c's like one of the deepest people I know. He's so deep. Come on! Tell em how deep you are. You'll be lucky if you understand this. (Smiling and giddy)

TEAL'C:My depth is immaterial to this conversation.

JACKSON: (Excitedly, obviously drunk) Oh!! See?

O'NEILL: No more beer for you.

I picked up on the last few seasons of this fine show, and enjoy watching the re-runs of seasons I never saw. Good Sci-Fi!

I have gotten into Atlantis as well.

I am 100% a StarGate SG-1 fan! Its my favourite TV show - I especially love Teal'c. Unfortunately our country has dicided not to show it anymore... how stupid! And they also decided to take Sci Fi channel off line for us. So for the past 2 years or so, I've been wondering what happened to that one Replicator that survived the chrash land. I desperately tried to download the stuff but I couldn't find it anywhere. But fortunately... *hold breath for a dramatic effect* I got the first 8 series' from my friend about a week ago!!! Yeh! And now I can watch it in peace
