Tom Cruise can neither act fair, nor fell? What planet are you from? Tom Cruise can be wicked, he can be intense, he can be strong, he can be fiery. I think he's a great choice.

Isn't Fëanor supposed to have long hair? Has Tom Cruise ever had very long hair? I can't imagine it. Well, I can, but it doesn't look very nice in my imagination. |

It's a matter of personal opinion. I'm unable to see TC as the fierce Fëanor. He just hasn't got 'it'.

One doesn't need heighth and long hair to possess either in a movie. You can be made to appear over seven feet tall, and you can be given long hair.

No, I'm being honest. Cruise is a great actor, and I think he could play a great Feanáro.

But... How can someone with a big nose and a mono-brow be fair of face?

That is like asking how Cate Blanchet can play one of the 3 most beutifel women in the history of Middle Earth.

Denzel Washington, if you must know. I have radical ideas, but I'm telling you, it'd work. Washington can get across the nobility and compassion of Manwë Súlimo, no problem. I can see him looking keenly down at Melkor, cast before his feet, and questioning him, and I can see him bursting into tears at the fiery words of Fëanáro, delivered by messenger. Go ahead, call me crazy.

I could see Alan Rickman in a good role -- maybe Turin? (How old was he supposed to be?)
