I can't think of who could play Finrod, but I'd love the Sean Connery to be Illuvatar's voice!

Yeah - I can't think of Luthien being a petite little insiped blonde - she needs some fire in her veins to keep Beren happy (I loved lil Ms Hayek in From Dusk 'til Dawn too.............muchos hot)

Not Harnet! Hes just to pretty boyish. I mean colin looks like he could hurt you doesnt he? Beren i allways imigined been a bit rough round the edges probably why Luthien liked him so much. The thing about Beren and luthien i allways imigined Beren looking a lot like Aragorn so its a shame we could just cast Viggo in the role but that would be stupid

Of course she was faking it, but it looked damned good fun (wouldn't mind to see him try).
Yeah, she's damned sexy & for a naughtier Luthien I'd also go for Asia Argento (the babe from XXX)

That's not too bad of a pic for Finrod, K. He does have that boyish quality that I see in Finrod. I like it better than Fabio.

Ah, but the Dark Lord could take many shapes for a while. I guess it may be his afternoon-shape.

Hmmm, maybe that's how Ungoliant reproduced.

To me, he's always had that angsty broody thing going on.
Thinking about that ..... that sounds like a good idea.

I would give Majandra Delfino the role of Luthien (she had black hair once and looked gorgeous).

How about instead of thinking about movie Beren and Luthien we try to think live performance stage acting Beren and Luthien? I know a couple of my friends could probably pull it off. For beren I have this friend who's really tall and thin and has sort of shaggy dark hair. He's a really good actor and he does a lot of main male character parts. For luthien this girl I worked with when we did dracula, she's medium height and really thin with long black hair and she's absolutely gorgeous but still real looking. And she can sing too.
