Im goin to the Yanks - Orioles game tonight. Hoping to see the O's make things one game harder for the Yanks in trying to get into the playoffs...

the team i'm rooting for in the playoffs will be the padres, long shot underdogs, probably will lose, but hey its better than getting on some eastern bandwagon i.e red sox/yankees

GO PADRES, don't lose the first game... or the second one...or any games at all in fact maybe its better if you don't play (why i will never become a baseball coach)

i'm with ya'll on that that one, but i want to see a western team win it,

the last couple years have florida(eastern) and red sox (also eastern) we need to get the rest of the country into baseball like the Padres and the Royals and the Dodgers

Wow... White Sox win their first playoff game since 1959 and their first playoff series since like 1917 or something!

You'd have to be acquainted with Chicago for this one - but I'm on the north side, where most people are Cubs fans - and south siders are Sox fans. Generally, fans of one team here dislike the other (I go along with that only jokingly - maybe because I'm not from here originally, or because I'm not THAT into baseball). Anyway - to some Cubs fans, I think the WORST thing in the world would be if the White Sox play the Cardinals in the World Series.
