EntQuest, the Battle for Hector.

[Mari]

Mari looked at everyone gathered and the overall chaos, while shaking her head. At the same time she couldn't stop the big amused smile she had been trying to suppress for a while now.
"Sas, I wont be going to Moria with you as I don't like being underground, but for as long a it is possible I'll 'ride' with you and Fredrico."
She then turned towards Sis to thank her for taking charge and leading the group in the right direction, but Sis had already moved to somewhere else.

Meanwhile, nobody in the company had noticed the dissapearance of Hector from the scene.

He now tramped quietly through the forest, trying to scout out the edge of Fangorn forest.

He heard a twig snap behind him...

[The Sasquatch of Fangorn]

"Oy! Where did Sis go?" Asked Sas. When nobody answered he said,"All right Fredrico-Mari HOLD ON- Fredrico go up!" Fredrico shot Sas a confused look. " Well! You're part Fell-beast! Star flying!" At this point Fredrico understood and two large bat-like wings spread from his back. As they went up Sas scaned the area for Sis, but could not see her. "Fredrico, take us back down!" And with that Fredrico swooped back to the ground and landed gingerly on the forrest floor right next to Sir G.W, and Sane. "Mari, it's all-right if you don't want to come to Moria." said Sas, "I'm part dwarf, so of course I'll like it!"

Hector twirled around, sword in hand, prepared to fight for his life.

To his great relief what he saw was not a foe, but only a cute little bunny---

BUNICULA!

Hector dashed away, Roadrunner style....

As the troop marched on they made they're way through the forrest a way Sas asked, "When are we going to eat?" As he said this, a large growl could be heard from Fredrico's stomach.

[Mari]

Looking a little greenish, Mari answered Sas: "I don't know, but I don't really feel like eating... I think I might go ride on Aeran instead. I'm really very sorry!"
Mari got off Fredrico, thanked him for the ride and continued to change the packaging on Aerans back so she could ride on him.
"Say Aeran: where is Bunicula? He was in the pack on your back the last time I checked? He went of to find some food you say? Hmmm"
"BUNICULA! I have dinner for you here! Here boy!"

"That's all-right Mari. I was a little queezy after my first flight too!" Fredrico moaned "What is the matter now? Wait... Where is HECTOR??!!" A paniked Sas looked around, "Hector where are you?" And, seeing that Hector was nowhere amongst the troops Sas, once agian made Fredrico fly onto the air. "Hector? Hector? You cannot hide from the eye in the sky!" Sas ordered Fredico to swoop over clusters of trees along the path, but Hector was nowhere to be found. Fredrico landed, and Sas sceamed "SIS!!!! HECTOR IS GONE!!!!!"

[Mari]

"So is Bunicula" Mari worriedly added. "*sigh* This way we really won't make much progress. Which reminds me: what herbs do we need to look out for, Sis?"

[The Sasquatch of Fangorn]

"Sis, if you want Fredrico and I will look for Hector and Bunicula." Sas Said in a quick voice, "We can fly, so it will be easyer to look for them." Fredrico flapped his wings "And Fredrico does'nt mind! Do you boy?" Fredrico thumped his chest and roared. "He misses Hector and Bunicula!"

Sis emerged from behind her horse with the ever-present hamper of sandwiches. "We're hardly out of sight of the Teacup yet," she pointed out, but not meanly. "Might as well break for lunch. I have a nice lemonade for those who aren't eligible for this wine, yet." She glanced around. "Hector missing. I swear, if that boy goes stone, I'm just going to plant shrubs. Mari. I'm warning you, too."

"But what are we going to do?" said Sas as he munched on a sandwich,"If we let him go by himself he could turn to stone and we would never see him again!" Fredrico moaned. "Oh, all right, go hunt! And don't eat any bunnies! If you see bunicula bring him back here to Mari! Same with Hector!"

[Mari]

"What!? What did I do? Oh well, Aeran and I will go out to look for Bunicula, but we'll keep our eyes out for the pain in the... eh... right, we'll keep an eye out for Hector."

[The Sasquatch of Fangorn]

"Mari,you could take Fredrico!" said Sas as he rummaged through his pack for his crossbow. "As a matter of fact I'll go with you. I wanted to do some target practice anyway!"

[Mari]

"Thanks but no thanks. Bunicula can be rather shy and Fredrico is... not the most stealthy so to say. Enjoy your sandwich!" With that she disappeared into the woods.

[The Sasquatch of Fangorn]

"Well come on then! just cause we're not going with Mari doesn't mean we can't go in the opposite direction." Sas put his crossbow on his back, "We'll look for ditchy mc-abandon-pants over here." Sas grabed his hammer and took off.

Hector ran for his life through shrubs, vines, and briars. He glanced behind him to see Bunicula in hot pursuit still. This rabbit was insane! As he looked back at the rabbit, he didn't see the large vine in front of him, and tripped on it.

He got up again as fast as he could, but not fast enough. Bunicula leaped and snagged his shirt sleeve. Freaking out, Hector began running again, in hope that Bunicula would let go.

He didn't run too far, because as the briars, brush, and vines got thicker, Hector quickly recognized this as a sign of being aat the edge of a forest.

Moments later he saw the clear sky over rolling hills. Hector quickly glanced at Bunicula, who was growling as he held tightyly onto Hector's shirt sleeve.

"I don't think we're in Kansas anymore, Toto".

"Exactly. If someone can explain to me why that would be a problem, I might start seeing it as one. In the meantime, I'd just count it as a blessing. Anyone for some nice fruit salad? We'll be down to dried fruits, soon, might as well enjoy."

"Bunicula! Where are you? Come on out, I've got food for you!"

"Hang on, Fredrico." Sas listened hard and herd Hector stuggleing with Bunicula. "I've found him Mari! Come quick! Bunicula is with him!"

[Mari]

Mari was quickly moving through the woods, relying on Aerans senses to guide them.
"Aeran, can't you smell him? I'm starting to get rather worried now!"
