Sir Gw soon returned to the Gang - with coneys well wrapped up and the filled waterbottles slung across the rump of his sturdy warhorse.

Acally looked at Sas, but she had heard the sarcasim.
"Tons," she said dryly. She had managed to dismount Katt, landing on her rump in the process. She sat and leaned up against one of the trees, Anicetos curled up next to her. Between the amount of cuts she had taken in the last battle she was involved in, the remnets of the poison and the frantic escape from the waterbeast, Acally was one tired woman. She closed her eyes and sighed.

"So.... now what?" asked Sas closing his eyes and crossing his arms.

[Mari]

"Have you checked on the wounds of your fellbeast?" Mari asked as she passed by and heard his question. And if you have nothing else to do, maybe you canhelp out building up a campfire, setting up supplies, making the wounded more comfortable, that sort of thing.
She herself went on towards Nauti and Sane to see how they had fared during their flight.

Sane groaned and attempted to move but it did not avail her; her deadened limbs refused to budge and instead gave a painful throb in protest. She used what was left of her strength and bit back the worst of her curses, and glanced over to Nauti who fared little better.

"Mari? Sis? Anyone with a functioning brain?" She called out, too tired and sore to look about for anyone who fit the bill. "Some...pain meds would be nice. And some food? I feel like I was half alive and half eaten... What the hell went on with you people?"

She now greatly wished for Sis and her very capable ministrations to at least get herself back upright. This whole lying prone business really didn't suit her.

"I think it suits you excellently" Sis said, answering her thought with an evil twinkle. "I kinda like the helpless look, for a change."

She finished arranging the pillow nests she had for her most destroyed patients. "As soon as that water's hot, you'll have pain relief, you two. Food is right behind that, thanks to GW's hunting skills. "

The girl from the cave, Eilonwy, came up with an apron or something full of herbs, which Sis briskly sorted into a larger and smaller pile. "This one", she said, pointing, "Goes in the big stewpot. These go in the smaller one."

The girl went off.

"That's a nice one," Sis commented. "I'd like to hear her story."

She looked at Sane and Naughty again. "I'm assuming the jaws and teeth work enough for some stewed coney and/or vegetables. If I have to puree, you'd better tell me now."

[The last sane person]

Ever the perv at heart, Sane laughed a bit; she quickly regretted that though as her body ached at any sort of exertion. "Only if you come here and stay with me a bit. I like those hands of yours. My jaws are fine, its my arms and the rest of me that ain't. I can't lift a finger, never mind a spoon."

She did her best to manage a grin at Sis.

[Mari]

Worried Mari looked at Sis from her spot near Nautipus. "Are you sure you are okay yourself? You didn't look too good when you came out of the cave.
Oh and Sane, the paralyzing effect of my potion will wear off soon."

Sas looked up at Mari's comment. "You're right." he said getting up and walking iver to Fredrico. "Freddy? You okay?" he looked at his wound "You'll be just fine!"

Sis smiled wearily up at Mari from where she sat gently rubbing an infused oil into Sane's unbloody surfaces. She stretched out her feet.

"Well, the shoes will have to be replaced," she admitted, displaying the reddened and tattered remnants, " and I'm bruised to hell and gone...that won't be pretty for a week or two. But all toes etc. are present. I'm counting that as a win."

She glanced over at Naughty. "Our boy knows how to pick a fight, for sure."

"Yes you two!" said Sas turning to Sis questioningly "What was that?!"

"Don't ask me," Sis laughed, and then "Ow. that hurts"

"I'm no expert in animals, even land ones. For me, this was the tentacle and fanged version of the Three Billy Goats Gruff. We got chomped by the Little brother goat, then by the Middle brother goat, then by the BIG BROTHER GOAT. That was him, at the end. It was dark, they didn't like me. How an unholy horror like that last beast managed in the cave I have no idea. Naughty seemed to have some connection with it, but all I was trying to do was get the double hockey sticks out of there.

I suppose the good news is, I got this insanely difficult ingredient. The bad news is, I need some other insanely difficult ingredients.

Anyone with me, for a return to home and a nice sculpture garden? Y'all upstairs don't look too good, either."

But the Band is prepared and puts Anti-GAK shielding which excellently repells the stuff onto the throwers.

But they are promptly slaughtered by the now merciless, sword/spear/bow wielding baddass Bandits, no prisoners taken, seeing as they were given a chance to leave and survive, but refused. Having not gotten the picture that they were more or less universally despised, they faired very very badly this time around. As said bfore,anyone attempting to resurrect them or anything like them shall be promptly kicked from the game and their posts ignored. Third time sure as hell wont be the charm.

Sir GW rides up to Sister, inquiring.
"Is there any truth in this talk about returning to the Cafe? In that case is it a unanimous decision or is the leaders themselves that has decided to terminate the Quest? Inquiring minds like to know."

Sis sighed ruefully. "No, I'm afraid it's just my opinion, which, in a just universe, would be taken as law, of course. However, I doubt Mari will let me leave Hector as statuary, however appealing a solution it seems to me."

[Mari]

"A nice statue does start to sound good. And it is true that no sculptor can capture Hectors essence in stone better than himself turned to stone..."
Wearily Mari smiled.
"But we have gotten this far already. We have one difficult ingredient and who knows, maybe it'll get easier from here."

The look Sis directed at Mari was distinctly askance.

"Maybe not." she said.
