Plus he fell for a blonde too.

I tried the test last week but only got to reading this thread today.

Anyway, I got Aragorn, probably because:

1. I absolutely denied having hairy feet
2. I am good with animals.
3. I like the outdoors
4. Am not afraid to be alone (or something close to that idea...)

Gandalf

I got Denethor, Son of Ecthelion, Lord and Steward of Minas Tirith

That doesn't necessarily seem like a good thing?

Denethor was not a bad man. His only real shortcoming was his arrogance. For he did possess the old power of Numenor in his vains.

But , he refused the council of Gandalf and went batty at the end.

Before that he was a quite a capable steward.

Oh Lord, I got Boromir. That doesn't bode well! If I really was a character in the books, I'd like to think I was like one of Frodo's hobbit friends. They are so quick to be loyal even in the face of grave danger. They put their fear behind them for the sake of the better good. How neat.

I guess the 2 questions on hairy feet were major determinants of "Hobbitness" for that test

oh well

on the other hand, frodo's hobbit friends were not destined to rule a major city and be responsible for the welfare of its people and the safety of the neighboring cities and countryside.

boromir was, indeed a conflicted man, struggling with what would be the smaller needs of his particular political venue vs. the needs of a much greater whole.

and in the end, he understood and chose wisely. he was a good person, and honorable, and flawed - as we humans really are.

My information was:You are most like
The Dwarves

As the halls of Moria show, Dwarves like building and inventing.
The world exists to be explained and analyzed. You prefer to work quietly without interruption. Time alone is important and solitary activities refresh you. You have a tendency to introspection. In your desire for clarity in life, you may have the tendency of being remote or even "heartless". You like keeping your options open. Closure is probably not one of your strong suits.

As the foil to Aragorn, Sauron clearly embodies the evil side of this personality.

Traits: Pragmatic, autonomous, ingenious, resolute. On the dark side you could desire power and domination.

Welcome to the Moot ann, JenniferTook, Halfling and Sun-star.

I guess psychological profiling should be taken with a grain of salt...

A moral of the whole (after the primary symbolism of the Ring, as the will to mere power, seeking to make itself objective by physical force and mechanism, and so also inevitably by lies) is the obvious one that without the high and noble the simple and vulgar is utterly mean; and without the simple and ordinary the noble and heroic is meaningless." First I was Beregond, then I was a dwarf. Then I thought I should try one last time to see which one I really was, and yep, I'm a dwarf.

Oh come on Evenstar! Being slightly sadistic happens to the best of us and it can have certain advantages... (grins mischieviously)

I ended up being most like Legolas, Son of Thranduil. Not too surprising, I guess - after all, I love the woods, and took an archery course in college.
