in one of the appendixes for lotr it says that legolas built a ship and sailed with gimli to the west..gotta find some reason for em to return eh? and gimli needs to come with em!

I agree! Come on guys, we need to keep this thing going! It looks like a really good story line! Posts really don't have to be perfect, as long as they get the general idea across. Remember that posts are not set in stone either, we can always edit. Just please someone write, I'm getting bored of waiting (Sorry I have the patience of a dobermen how had too much caffine

From what I've read, Legolas and Gimli did not leave until after Aragorn and Arwen died in 120 4th Age, so they would definately still be around in Ithilien at the time this is set.

His weak spot is his fiery temper. he is a Noldo after all.

hey can i hop in here too? before you guys get so far into the story that i have no idea what i'm doing? lol. i dunno how many elves you have, but i'm probably gonna be my usual character, and she's an elf. everyone ok with that? ok here's my description:

-Name- Meldien Eruantalë
-Race- Sindarin Elf
-Dwelling- Originally Imladris, now Eryn Lasgalen (Mirkwood)
-Age- 2,905 (this is just a guess, i don't have the patience to do the math

)
-Birthdate- 53 Quellë in the Reckoning of Rivendell in the 136th year of the Third Age.
-Parents- Alassar and Indil, both deceased.
-Weapons- A Lorien bow and arrows, a short sword and knives.
-Mount- Arthalion "Noble, Strong", a black stallion.
-Hobbies- archery, healing and herblore (you said you needed a healer), and riding.
-Personality- I'm quick to anger when provoked, but kind and gentle to friends and unthreatening strangers. I'm thoughtful and slow to action unless, as stated before, angry. I am a swift rider and was sent on many messenger errands by my adoptive father Lord Elrond before he departed for the Undying Lands. He took me under his protection after the deaths of my father and my mother.
-Background- I have not departed for the Undying Lands because I feel there is more for me to do before I can leave. My beloved, Elladan son of Elrond, sailed before me and awaits my arrival there. I originally abode in Imladris, but have relocated to Mirkwood (which was actually renamed Eryn Lasgalen) because the departure of the Ring Vilya has caused the beauty of the valley to wane considerably. I am good friends with Legolas Greenleaf, but have no romantic interest in him. I am mostly used as a messenger between Legolas and King Elessar, with whom I am also aquainted as he resided in Imladris for many years.
