"Huh, wha? What's all the fuzz about?" Mari started as she woke up when someone jumped out of the bushes near her. She rubbed the sleep out of her eyes and took in the scene. "Tolkienfan, Nicro, Sqeeky! How nice of you to join us! Phew, you startled me."

Hector had not slept the entire night. Instead, he had spent his time washing clothes by hand and hanging them to dry by the campfire. By morningtime, he was slumped over a log, drooling like a dog in his sleep.

"What!? Where the did that noise come from!" Mari yelled as she and her pets got in a defensive position. She looked at Hector and briefly considered the possibility of it being Hectors snoring, but discarded it almost immediately. After concluding that nothing seemed to be wrong, Mari went over to the fire for a cup of tea, not interested in trying to find out where the noise had come from.
"Good morning every one. So today is the day we really get out eh? Sis, Sane, you seem to be knowing what you're doing. Can you please tell us where we are going? Can I help with planning or organizing anything? We should make sure people don't start wandering." With that she glanced at Hector and Bunicula. Bunicula, getting her point came over and started acting all sweet and cute as to apologize.

Sis swung up onto her horse. "All right", she said. "Let's do a few leagues at least before stopping again. Someone keep an eye on hector. Everyone riding who wants to? Nicro? Tolkienfan? Not that riding will be much faster than walking, for this first bit." She sighed, quietly. "Better get started. I'll have to plant soon, and I have NO intention of dangling from a cliff face while the beans need to go in."

"No thanks, perhaps we should get going." Mari said to Acally.
"Sis, don't worry, I'll keep an eye on Hector and Bunicula so we won't get a repeat of yesterday. Let's get this over with!"
With an evil smile Mari went over to Hector and woke him up. "Good morning sunshine! We have a nice day ahead of us and I just appointed myself as your buddy.

If you hurry you still have time for a cup of coffee or tea, but then we'll have to leave." She paused to look at the clothes hanging by the fire. "What happened to your clothes by the way?"
Without waiting for an answer she looked in the direction where the noise came from. "I sure hope that marching band doesn't intend to march along with us. Jeetjemina wat een herrie! (man what a noise!)" she muttered under her breath in her own language.

The company finally go off their duffs and set off down the trail once again.

They traveled at a fast pace, anxious to get out of Fangorn Forest.
