Gandalf took the crystal out of his pocket when they entered Moria. So yes his staff DID have a crystal before Moria. You just dont see it.
Gandalf grabs his staff out of Sarumans hand just before he jumps on the Wind Lords back.

There's no Gollum on Argonath.

I take it you haven't looked at any large bird nest recently?
Also, Gollum is proving to be LotR's biggest problem if you read between the lines - they are still doing his initial shootings for some of the scenes. That's getting a wee bit behind schedule I'd say. So the chances of them throwing him in elsewhere are a bit slim, although I'd be pleased if they did - I kept looking for him following since Moria for the first few times, but then stopped.

As for this car... why is everyone going on about the headlights?
ITS DAYTIME. Cars won't have headlights on, and if they are they won't show. If you see light it'll be light glinting off of metal.

But more to the point, I've seen the car and at no time does the word 'light' spring to mind as a description - I see a small fast moving DARK blob on the hill horizon moving right to left. If everyone is seeing a different car then perhaps that explains it, but I've seen the film 7 times now, and spotted the car the last 4 times. No light. Never. Not on your life.

you don't see the headlights, it's the sun reflecting off of the car as it's driving down a road waaayyyyy in the back ground. you wouldn't see it if you weren't paying attention to that spot... it's on the big full shot right after sam says his lines about never being that far away from home.. it starts out from up in the corner of the shot and drives along a curvy road. then it goes to a closer veiw of the hobbits and your back to the big shot of the shire again, and you can still see the car.

the last three times i went, i saw it.. so don't you bee tellin me there ain't no car!
