Ar-Pharazon and Sauron

Was there something about Ar-Pharazon army beings so vast that Sauron surrendered?

Was it a ploy or was he truly afraid?

If he was afraid why? Was the power in Numeorean blood strong enough to defeat a maia of Sauron's power.

(I guess Gil galad and Elendil could )

A what if question I'm gonna combine two different ages)

if his army was that powerful if the Noldar and the Numeoreans under Ar-Pharazon could join forces would they have been able to defeat Morogoth? or at least crush his armies?

About Eowyn,
Does anyone know what her alias Dernhelm means?

She was kown as dernhelm because of her exclaimation when she realized that the rider's headgear was heavy and obscured her sight.

'Dern Helm"

I don't think anyone less than the Holy Ones themselves could have 'ultimately' defeated Morgoth. For the rest, my response is given under your thread 'Sauron's Ring and his form'.
