My inspiration was the thought of Luthien standing under the tree Hirilorn waiting for Beren, Huan, Thingol, Mablung and Beleg to come back from slaying Carcharoth with the jewel.

Wow, its beautiful. Beautifully simple with a great sense of movement. And the lamp really seems to be giving of light. I love the way you can't see the face, it leaves it to our imagination, which is a good idea as she is so beautiful that no face we could draw would possibly be beautiful enough. I love it!

Good point. The best artist in the world could probably not draw something as beautiful as Luthien should be.
