Can anyone help me? I have a problem with horror...nothing scares me! Its really boring! The only thing that scares me ever is riding in elevators(don't ask)
Can someone please give me a truly terrifying, horror-filled, blood curdling REALLY REALLY SCARY MOVIE that I can watch and freak out for once?

Since you have a 'thing' about lifts/elevators you should try Downtime (1997) a 'stuck in a lift' thriller...who knows it might cure you! Other than that try 'The Sound of Music'

Braindead. It got banned when it first came out, and it is the most disgusting and disturbing film I have ever seen in my whole life.

Signs also scared me so much that I was shaking and Arachnaphobia scared me too because of my fear of spiders. The Ring also really freaked me out.

I didn't think much of The Shining.

I also have to ask, hadanyone seen the X Files where it was at a freak circus and this guy's siamese twin thing crawled out of his stomach and killed people? Or the one where the mum was strapped to a board cos she had no legs and all her sons were deformed? I still have nightmares about those!

Of course, it's necessary to watch it Horror Movies late at night, with the lights turned off, for a good scare.

Also, Alien and Signs, in case I haven't mentioned them.

Poltergeist. True classic in that it combines the perfect amount of tension and action and supernatural creepyness and really subtle comedy. this was when Spielberg still had an edge and there was a young creative spark to his films. and a brilliant ability to project the unordinary from within the ordinary.

The Ring was definitely scary the first time I saw it....after about 4 times though, it loses it's affect..Has anyone seen the Japanese version of the Ring? It's called Ringu.
Another movie I liked was The Haunting..not super scary, but really fun to watch.

Yep, and it's better than the American re-make, although some aspects were better explored in the re-make.
