That's different. They lived so close it would be kinda hard. But if they had a strong alliance why didn't the King Under the Mountain have some of the Dale-men go to help?

LONG LIVE THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE WEE SCARVIES!

you'll have to excuse me, i'm not at my best
i've been gone for a month
i've been drunk since i left
there so-called vacations
will soon be my death
i'm so sick from teh drink
i need home for a rest
we arrived in december and london was cold
so we stayed in thebars
along charing cross road
we never saw nothin' but brass taps and oak
kept a shine on the bar
with the sleeves of our coats
-chorus-
euston station the train journey north
in the buffet car we lurched back and forth
past odd crooked dykes
through yorkshire's green fields
we were flung into dance
as the train jigged and reeled
you'll have to excuse me, i'm not at my best
i've been gone for a month
i've been drunk since i left
there so-called vacations
will soon be my death
i'm so sick from teh drink
i need home for a rest
take me home....
by the light of the moon she'd drift through the streets
a rare old perfume so seductive and sweet
she'd tease us and flirt as the pubs all closed down
then walk us on home and deny us a round
-chorus-
the gas heater's empty, it's damp as a tomb
and the spirits we drank are not ghosts in the room
i'm knackered again, come on sleep take me soon
and don't lift up my head
'till the the twelve bells at noon
you'll have to excuse me, i'm not at my best
i've been gone for a month
i've been drunk since i left
there so-called vacations
will soon be my death
i'm so sick from teh drink

The men and dwarves fought side by side in the North.

But this isn't about that is it? It's about Pellenor Fields (or that 'battle in Gondor' that guy refers to) and dwarves were NOT there.

They weren't there, but I think they were holding off some of Sauron's forces up north so the soldiers at the Pelennor wouldn't be out numbered or something.

Well, they were anyway. I think they were attacked by Sauron's forces too. But it did helped Gondor, I guess, because they won.

They were also REALLY far away and it isn't as if the two countries had messengers going back and forth so that they each knew exactly what was happening at all times in the other place.

Gimli arrived at the Battle of the Pelennor Field with Aragorn, having ridden with him in the Grey Company.

The dwarves would have been of great help -- somehow I think they would have been able to do something about the technology that dug those trenches and fire pits, and built those seige towers. And had the armies entered Minas Tirith, their presence in the city might have been decisive, as they were so familiar with fighting in such close quarters because of the Goblin and Dwarf wars.

Thus one should consider: "Being angry with another person, what can you do to him? Can you destroy his virtue and his other good qualities? Have you not come to your present state by your own actions, and will also go hence according to your own actions? Anger towards another is just as if someone wishing to hit another person takes hold of glowing coals, or a heated iron-rod, or of excrement. And, in the same way, if the other person is angry with you, what can he do to you? Can he destroy your virtue and your other good qualities? He too has come to his present state by his own actions and will go hence according to his own actions. Like an unaccepted gift or like a handful of dirt thrown against the wind, his anger will fall back on his own head."

Yes, I said, 'As a whole'. But OT: I dont think the Woses ever did, did they?

EDIT: accidentally hit Enter. See title for more information.
