Dwarves.

Do you think that the dwarves would have been any help at all in the battle at gondor.

If they hadn't been fighting at the Lonely Mountain, the "battle of gondor" as you put it might have been lost.

Dwarves are good fighters and they would of helped out quite alot, but they had their hands full at the Lonely mountain and were busy there!

Do you mean the Battle of Pelannor Fields, or is there some "battle of Gondor" that I'm unaware of?

I think that he was refering to the Battle of Pelannor feilds.

The dwarves would probably been a great help if they wern't busy.

Not to nitpick, but I thought it was Pelennor, not Pelannor? Or am I wrong?

I think that they would have, weather they would decide to joun the "good" side or the "bad" side, would be in question, but eather way, they would help, weather they helped the "right" side or not, they would still help someone.

Of course they'd be a help! The defenders of Minis Tirith needed all the help they could get. Most, if not all, the Dwarves would join the good guys.

But, as was already pointed out, they still helped by occupying some of Sauron's forces in the North. However, Sauron did that so the Dwarves wouldn't be able to fight at Pelannor.

so even sauron feared the dwarves. It just proves how good they would be in helping at the battle of Pelannor fields

I don't agree with that. Dwarves were, as a whole, on the 'good' side. They may have been a little greedy and/or self-centered at times, but look at the Noldor! Hardly perfect. But how many people think they would have fought on the side of Morgoth? I believe he mentioned a few Dwarves being allied with Orcs in TH, but that's a few, and allied with Orcs (big difference between allying with them and allying with the greatest force of evil on the world at the time). And also, don't forget the Dwarves at the Council of Elrond.

Actually, the Dwarves were already helping at the Battle of Pelennor Fields. They weren't there, but they were helping by holding off some of Saurons forces in the Lonely Mountain. Plus, don't forget about Gimli! Wasn't he at the Pelennor fields too?

I though dwarves cared little for the doings of Men. They wouldn't have been there even if they weren't busy in the Lonely Mountain. And no I'm not anti-dwarf or anything, my comment was just looking at their temperment.

LONG LIVE THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE WEE SCARVIES!

you'll have to excuse me, i'm not at my best
i've been gone for a month
i've been drunk since i left
there so-called vacations
will soon be my death
i'm so sick from teh drink
i need home for a rest
we arrived in december and london was cold
so we stayed in thebars
along charing cross road
we never saw nothin' but brass taps and oak
kept a shine on the bar
with the sleeves of our coats
-chorus-
euston station the train journey north
in the buffet car we lurched back and forth
past odd crooked dykes
through yorkshire's green fields
we were flung into dance
as the train jigged and reeled
you'll have to excuse me, i'm not at my best
i've been gone for a month
i've been drunk since i left
there so-called vacations
will soon be my death
i'm so sick from teh drink
i need home for a rest
take me home....
by the light of the moon she'd drift through the streets
a rare old perfume so seductive and sweet
she'd tease us and flirt as the pubs all closed down
then walk us on home and deny us a round
-chorus-
the gas heater's empty, it's damp as a tomb
and the spirits we drank are not ghosts in the room
i'm knackered again, come on sleep take me soon
and don't lift up my head
'till the the twelve bells at noon
you'll have to excuse me, i'm not at my best
i've been gone for a month
i've been drunk since i left
there so-called vacations
will soon be my death
i'm so sick from teh drink
i need home for a rest
take me home....

There is a quote that says " Elves are the only races never to have willingly to serve Sauron.

But I think that there were Sindar who served as Morgoths spies.
