Just about self defense, at my school we use zero tolerance. In other words, a kid gives you an at-school nose job, you stand there and get your faced punched in.

A kid's got you in a corner and is slapping your head until in spins all the way around. You're supposed to go limp in your corner and call for help, while this kid permanently affects the angle that your head will sit at for the rest of your life.

So the real message is, when someone tries to hurt you, don't deflect the blow. Let him beat you up until he kills you or a teacher decides to intervene
