An airshipcraft driven by a electrical jet-engine or a ethyl alcohol-powered turbofan

My new idea:

A miniature airship. It centers around an airframe which is hollow and contains helium (or some other more appropriate gas) to make the airshipcraft float about two or three feet above the ground. Inside the airframe there are air intake-channels for the jetengine (if one choses to use that method of conveyance). Along the sides of the airframe are nozzles which will control any sidesways movement and if aimed forwards will reduce the speed and even make the craft come to a complete stop.

Technical data:

(3 feet to a meter, a foot being about 33 centimeters)

Length: 4 meters
Width: 1, 75 meters (wingspan: 3,5 meters)
Height: 1, 75 meters

Weight: not sure. Not knowing how much carbonfibres really weigh, makes it difficult to figure it out.

Airframe: an carbonfibre chassis covered by a thin molded carbonfibre covering.

Shape: sort of delta-wingish, slightly turned down along the edges to make a kind of bonus ”surface-effect”.

Friends, Mooters, Countrymen... Lend me your views.

You know Grey_Wolf, you have a real talent for invention. Too bad you don't live in my neck of the woods. Here in Akron, we have Inventure Place (National Inventors Hall of Fame. It's quite a place, and they have hands on inventing and learning.

Here's a couple links, if you would like to know more about it.

Thanks a lot. I keep thinking about ways in which the auto-mobiles driven by petrol could be replaced by vehicles powered by electricity or fuel from seeds or potato or even oil from foodstuffs so we would not be so dependent on oil and petrol and this is my latest attempt and I thought it was a really good one, too, until I presented it on another site where it was practically shot down (if you excuse the pun). The reason being that helium can not carry any vehicle weighing over 300 - 500 kg, including the pilot, easily. But perhaps fresh minds can alter that verdict.

And speaking of gases, perhaps Hydrogen would be a more appropriate gas to use however dangerous it is.

I haven't gotten any reply from www.invent.org.
Either they're too busy or they simply do not care for my new brilliant invention.

what do you really think, SGH?

Hmmm, I don't understand why they wouldn't answer. How long has it been?

Well, I actually thought that the very nature of e-mails would make it possible for the recipient to answer quickly (I sent the mail last week), but perhaps as I wrote before, they're either disinterested or too busy.

But what I was actually asking was your opinion of the airshipcraft and if you think it's possible at all.
