Redemption of Althalus

Just wondering if anyone else on here has read this book by David & Lead Eddings. I'm reading it at the moment and can see some similarities to other characters he has written in the past which sometimes draws me away from the character and makes me drift off in the direction of the one they remind me of.

But other then that I am very impressed with this book so far and would reccomend it to other Eddings fans out there who like his stuff. Or alternatively anyone who likes a good fantasy story.

One of my Favorites, actually. A first class read. (well... at least high second class.)

Yeah i have to say im impressed with it. Did you find yourself seeing some of the characters resembling others namely Althalus himself and Silk to some degree and also Adine and Ce Nedra ?

Meh.

I just read 'em. It's sometimes hard to enjoy a novel if you examine it too much.

twas a good read the characters were similar to Silk and the gang. Emerald was polgara and althaleus a mixture of belgarath and silk

I really liked it. Yes, it has similarities to his other books, but it is nice to read a fantasy book that is not part of a series, a nice change of pace. Peace.

Read it. Loved it. Only need one more book now to complete Eddings collection.

Most fantasy authors tend to have character 'types' that they use throughout different series. Meh, I don't care. Although you can draw comparisons between Liselle from the Malloreon and Leitha...

While I'm sure the nice people from the local archery club meant well, a moment's consideration would have made them realise that giving my friend and I lethal weapons was probably not a good idea!

Dammit, eyeliner and dreadlocks should not be that sexy!

I have read all but the newest one, and i won't read that until there's a second book to read in the series. i hate having to wait for a story.

redemption's good, it's not as samey as the other series were. i think i prefer the elenium and tamuli to belgariad and mallorean because it's bit more grown up. plus i've always liked the whole holy-knight stuff. Just finished reading Ivanhoe. Yeah Elenium was my favourite.
