My opinion: Men try to rule this world. They force the women to shave their legs. But they don't do it themselves. That would mean that they would give up some of their power and they wouldn't feel "man" enough anymore.

Is it that women shave their legs to feel more attractive to men, or is it that women shave their legs to compete with other women? I don't particularly believe that men are soley responsible for the conditioning of the 'clothes-horse' woman; women are equally responsible for this trap. Having said that, yes, I shave my legs.

I agree with Lalaith. I mean, if men can grow beards and still look good, how come women can't have hairy underarms and be ugly? Nobody really looks there, anyways.

It's the evil bitchy feminists who are trying to rule the world. This is so obvious I won't even bother elaborating.

Besides, it is true that most people find women more attractive when they are shaven, but this opinion is only cultural. Australian Aboriginies, for instance, don't mind body hair at all. Neither do the French. THe Italians don't mind BO. It's all cultural, not sexual. It's a matter of taste. Americans have it; they don't.

So, it's my personal opinion that a woman should be shaven.
Men shouldn't unless under extreme circumstances.

I love the way my legs look shaved, very sexy!

I don't shave up real high...too much hassle, and a little uncomfortable, but smooth feminine legs with pretty feet look so good!

Hairy armpits get smelly, real quick, besides looking "overgrown". It depends on how hairy you are too! Hey, if a woman wants to be hairy...go right ahead! Not me though! That said, it's a pain to do, but worth the little bit of effort, IMO. I

I like having my legs shaved, it makes me feel pretty! The only reson I shave my armpits is because they stink too bad for deoderant if you don't.

Men shouldn't shave anything but their face. Hair is sexy...unless it's overgrown, then they should shave a little bit.

Do men force you to shave your legs? no.

Do you shave your legs? Probably.

It is society - what is socially accepted.

People are pressured to do all these things - its not men forcing you to shave, silly accusation.

I'm sure than many girls would get on your case if you didn't shave your legs.

Our society has a thing about hair in general - guys are allowed to have some hair on their legs, but believe me if you have hairy legs you get lots of comments

And from the media and etc, guys are sent mixed messages on what exactly they should get rid of - I mean pits, shave or not? Chest, hairy or not? when was the last time you saw a really hairy chest on tv or in a magazine? they all wax. What about backs? hell - even some guys shave their legs.

In that regard - women are given exactly what they should look like. It is NOT clear at all with guys really. Women are expected to shave thier legs and armpits. With guys, it is a big question.

And shaving your face isnt exactly fun and easy.

So don't give me that crap.

You are free to have hairy legs if you want - but if its a turn of to guys, why do it?
