Eurovision Song Contest

Has anybody of you seen it?
I'm just watching it and it is really horrible.
As you, when you saw it, might remember that Austria was the second artist perfoming. Oh, my God, that's so embarrassing.
This man is representing our country! Oh, my goodness.
And guess what, he is the one who was elected by the Austrian pre-show viewers. They wanted to see him on stage. Can you believe this?
I'm really dying with embarrasement.
I hope the rest of the show is better. Tell me your opinions!

Yes, I'm watching it.

Good God, what was Austria doing?
I fell sorry for you, Lalaith.

I have no clue what they were singing.
The only good thing was that most people won't ever understand what he was actually singing about.
But I liked the entry from Poland and Israel (although I don't think that Israel is a European state).

I have it on in the background. My mum and sister are watching it.

No offence to anyone who likes it - but i cannot stand it! It's horrible i'm so surprised it's lasted this long!

Many people think that Israel shouldn't participate in the Eurovision Song Contest, because of it's geocraphical location. But I think Israel should be counted among the European countries. Israel resembles the European countries more than it's Arab neighbours.

And if Israel plays in the European Championships in e.g. football (soccer), then why shouldn't they participate in this Song Contest as well?

they are playing in the European Championships too? I have no problem with that, but it's just funny.

Ah, the Song Contest sucks.

The people from Iceland are crazy, they gave Austria 10 points

I don't want to upset the Austrians (that means you, Lalaith), but that song doesn't deserve that many points

That reminds me of an old episode of Father Ted (which basically took the wotsit out of the Song Contest).........the Irish will vote for anyone rather than going through the expense of hosting the Song Contest again

Yeah, I saw Elton John. They quoted him ("It's a little bit funny" etc. Immediately thought of Moulin Rouge ) and then revealed he was in Vienna following the contest.

Funny, Austria had more points than Sweden for a while.

EDIT: ARGH! Austria has more points than Sweden again !

Austria is #5. Congrats!

Is Eärniel form Belguim? didn't know that.

Can you believe how bad the english of most of the presenters is? Didn't they find better ones in the whole country? (including Austria)

Turkey won! It's fun, because they have never won before, but they have participated in the contest since the start.

Belgium came second and then

Russia
Norway
Sweden
Austria

It makes you proud, ha?

But do you know what? Sweden gave us 6 points. And they gave Germany 10 or 12 points. I doubt the good taste of the Swedes. sorry.
