Character Coliseum

[Kalile]

This rpg is a coliseum for your characters to fight eachother, complete in sports, etc. Try and be descriptive as possible in your writing, otherwise it won't be as fun. No super characters! And no one's character can win all the time. I will be the final arbiter on fights and who wins/ loses.

The coliseum is a large arena, much like the roman one was in our world. It has enough room for a small army to split and fight. The building arches higher and higher, until the contestant feels enclosed in a tiny canyon of seats and human bodies, even though it is very wide. The floor is traditional dirt, and there is equipment for many different sports resting against one end. There are doors on each end leading to rooms where contestants eat and wait. The top is open, and you can't help but think that you wouldn't want to be down here in a heavy rain.

In the fighters rooms there are tables and sometimes cots in the corners. These rooms are almost always full of people wishing to compete. There are smaller spaces as well, to rest and have quiet.

This looks fun. I'll see if I can get Sane to battle me. I have to go for the night but tommorow I will post!

[Kalile]

Ooc: Alright!

Ic: The bored man at the register booth handed Aralyn (I don't know your character's name) a necklace with a chip of wood hung from it. "Keep this on you while you wait for an opponent," he drawled,"it will get you into the rooms, and you will be able to get free food since you've already paid to enter."

[The last sane person]

OOC: Jeez! why all this sudden enimosity towards me?? Fine i'll fight you! which character of me do you want to fight?

[Aralyn]

Its not animosity! You crazy person. I just thought this kind of RPG is right up you alley. WHoever you want to fight with is fine. I figured we can be friends and fight friendly

OOC: As you wish. I shall introduce a new (to you at least) character.........Leah!!!!

Name: Leah Mirzay
Race: Easterness
Weapons: Bow, Semitar and one staight bladed sword and Halberd.
Apperance: Almost elf like save that she has dark skinn, frost blue eyes that turn deep ocean blue when in battle, raven black hair. Small lateral scar going down right eye with blue pants and tunic.
Armor: Easterness
Height:5'8
Weight:110
Other: Horse named Shabaq. Black with white mane and white tail.

I take it that you Register us in Kalile.

Appearance: Small and slight; short copper colored hair

Short brown skirt and tall brown boots; a white long
sleeved shirt with a green tunic tied with a strip of leather.
Armor: Silver with a lioness in black (something like a Knight of the Round Table in Arthurian times)
Other: White silver sword called Lightning, Black mare with white mane and tail called Nair

[Aralyn]

Tamora slipped on the chip of wood and went past the man. The place was noisy with men and women talking or practicing. A very fiesty Nair at her side pranced and Tamora felt like joining her.

This is what I need, Tamora thought. A new scene and some practice with Lightning.

She hardly noticed the stares she got over the cat in the saddle on Nair. The black cat Sirte was glancing around with an almost human air to him.

Hmph, probably not a decent meal anywhere, Sirte said

"Hush Sirte," Tamora whispered.


No one can hear me but you. Sirte said sensibly and stretched. looks like good competition, that one over there

Tamora turned back to the sign-in desk to see a tall girl with black hair and Easterness armor on. She had a lateral scar down her right eye and a calm air to her.

Looks good, huh? Sirte said.

[Legoles]

Imharwen was very excited about her first coliseum match. She handed the man at the corner her money, got the necklace and headed inside

[Kalile]

Ooc: Tamora? As in Pierce? Of course, with the figure of Alanna! Duh. How many of her books have you read?

Ic: Another person, this one a girl, showed each of the contestants into a large room.
"Here's where you will wait before each battle. You may do anything you like, so long as it doesn't cause trouble. If you desire peace and quiet, then those cubicles over there are soundproof.
Since there are two of you, do you wish to fight eachother?"

[The last sane person]

OOC: It appears that we are all girls so far!

*Leah had walked into the Coluseum to register and get room and board and looked around to check out the competition. It looked alright. She hope it provides more of a challenge to than the last battle arena. Not one of the contestants that stood against her lasted ten minutes. hopeing her reputation didn't proced her, she took a seat in the far corner in the shadows.*

Leah:*mentaly talking to herself* I wonder how this bunch will fare.... There are some potentially strong opponents here....

*A group of men spot Leah, recognize her, and head over to her table and try to start a fight*

1stman: Oy! werent you that girl that totally defeted all comers back at Rohan? *doesnt wait for Leah's response* Yeah! that was you!

2ndman: Well, come on then! lets see you try that with us!

Leah: *calmly* No, that's quite alright.

3rdman:*sneers* What? you scared of us or somethin'?

Leah:*still calm* Sirs, I fear you no more than I feared those men at Rohan.

*They all drew their weapons and the 1stman knocked over Leah's table. Before anyone had time to land a blow, a flash of silver erupted from her scabard and the three men's swords were in two peices and thoroughly useless*

1stman:*looks at ruined blade* She aint human!

*the men quickly exit the room and dont come back to compete*

Leah: well, thats three people who wont be competeing.

*gets up to leave and attend to her horse and a young girl with a cat follows her as well as two elveswho had witnessed the scene*

Good! I hoped someone would notice. Yeah I've read the first two books in the Allanna series and the first in the Circle of Magic series. I changed the horse name though.

ic:

You're too obvious, Sirte said, suddenly awake, She knows you're following her

"How do you know?" I hissed

I can tell Sirte said smugly

I ignored him and entered the quarters I was assigned. It was basically a big room with some quiet areas and-

"Look!" I said to Sirte, "A practice arena."

Sirte yawned again and jumped off Nair to rub against my knees,Then what are you waiting for?

I decided he was right and lay my stuff down on my bed, slipped on some padded practice armor and headed for the ring. I looked around to see if the scar girl had the same idea.

[Kalile]

Ooc: Well,... I've read them all, so far. Kinda wierd, but I was waiting when the third and fourth books in the circle of magic came out. (When I was in like 3rd grade or something ) CIRCLE OF MAGIC ROCKS!!! And the "circle opens" does too.

A young elvish man walked up to the admittance stand. He paid for his board, and got his wodden tag. He walked into the waiting room and immediately the elvish Imharwen picked out her violin and started playing a jaunty tune. A few girls sang along and Elaniel danced with every girl in sight. Meanwhile Imharwen came to register also.

[Kalile]

Boy, when you show up, the room is suddenly full.
I will fight you. Beware of me. I solommly (sp?) swear to try not to be biased in my own favor. (notice I said try)

Kalile the elf, who had made quite a name for herself in this land recently, followed her feet to the arena. Upon entering, she saw a lot of her old friends, and was immediately challenged by Imhuriel. "Do you want to do unarmed, unarmored, armed, archery, boxing, or what?" the attendant asked as they approached her.
"As the challenged, it is my choice. I choose unarmed combat!"
"Let it be." The dwarf led them out into the dirt floor as the crowd roared appreciatively.
"You are to use your body as your weapon to subdue your opponent. No weapons are allowed. The fight is over when one of you cannot get up or is knocked unconsious. BEGIN!" Kalile, who was not very strong, but acrobatic, immediately flew into a handspring, bare feet coming up to kick her opponent.

Ooc: When you there is more than one battle, put the contestants' names in the "subject" box so everyone knows what battle you're posting for. Thank you!

[The last sane person]

OOC: Ah! good fight!!

*Leah walked out to the practice arena and saw the same girl that followed her smacking a wooden dumy with a sword*

Leah: Nice girl, but your right under score is weak. {slash that is directed at your opponents under arm}

Girl: Oh, it's you! Uh, thanks! My name is Tamora, yours?

Leah:*slight bow* Leah Mirzay. Nice to meet you!

Tamora: Oh, so what was all that rucus in the common room all about?

Leah:*tactfully evading the question* oh, some men had more to drink than they should have i suppose.

Tamora:*swinging at the dumy* Oh, this your first time here?

Leah:*shifting* Um, yes. it is my first time it this arena, but i am not new to prize fighting.

Tamora: Hey! Can I be your first match?

Leah: Uh.......

Tamora: Come on! I want a challenge!

Leah: Um, lets go watch the fight between Kalile and Imhuriel!

Tamora: You know them?

Leah: Yes.

*they go watch Kalile and Imhuriel fight*

OOC: Hello old friend! Midge!

[Legoles]

Imhuriel ducks and when Kalile flies over she suddenly jumps up and punches her in Mid-air.

[Legoles]

Kalile falls on the ground. You should have seen that coming, You taught it to me!!!

[Kalile]

Kalile fell a few yards away and sprung up, wincing and cursing herself for a fool. As Imhuriel turned, Kalile slid across the sand, her foot outstretched, swiping the other's feet out from under her. As the elf fell, Kalile jumped on her, catching her in the stomach and bouncing off again.

I read Wild magic and the Allana book. 1st.

Personality: Somewhat impudent, loyal
Race: Elven
Other: Long black hair dowqn to her waist that she keeps in a ponytail. Blue eyes, almond shaped. Holds her head high.

I still don't exactly get this RPG. I get the jist of it, but what do you mean 'sports'? Fencing perhaps? Archery? Horse back riding? Please clairify this RPG a bit.
