Local Bands

Yes, national bands are great. But what about local bands? A lot of the time they're better than the national bands. What are some good local bands that you know of? Post their websites here (if they have them).

The Slurpees (my brother's awesome band)

Just one thing.... I wouldn't recommend posting on their messageboards, just because some of the band's messageboards (including the Slurpees) are meant only for people they know personally.

Local bands can be a good way to see a style of music that you like and to just have a good time. But the one thing that can be bad about local bands is if they say they're one style but play a different way. I hate when people lie to the crowd and just do things for the girls glory and fame.
Im currently in a band called Fog of War and I feel that we play honestly and we stick to the things we say we play. We have our first show this friday and we hope get a lot of good responses. If anyone here likes viking or power metal style music such as Amon Amarth then you should listen to us. Contact me if your interested.

I suppose the band members are too lazy to post, so:

FoW had their first show Friday night at the high school. And they rocked! By far the best band. It's a shame lots pf people left for the performance (they came for the emo bands) and that the mosh pit was shut down cause some wimp told the cops he got a black eye, and that the camera stopped working just as Beren, Son of Barahir got on stage, but it didn't matter. Awesome awesome show they put on.

Yeah I haven't visited Entmoot in a while. As Bombadillo said my band, Fog of War, had our first show in a high school friday night. We were headlining which was cool but a lot of the kids left and the action cooled down because it was at a high school. Everyone I talked to though said that our set was really intense and our riffage excellent.
