Warhammer
Does anyone here do Warhammer? If so, what race? I do High Elves. They're hard to master, but once you get the hang of them they're awesome!

Hmmm... a computer game. Better move this to the Entertainment Forum.

Is this about the computer game, the rpg or that game where you move thousands of little tin soldiers around a table?
I've only played the rpg. |

Actually, it's not a computer game, Khamul. At least, I don't believe Agalayth is talking about one.
Coney, I believe he refers to the tabletop strategy.

Yeah, the tabletop strategy. I doubt that it is a computer game, though they're making an MMORPG of it.
Anyways, does anyone play Warhammer?

I wasted $150 on Beretonnian pieces but haven't played in years. Could never get into it.

Beside's, I've never forgiven Games Workshop for ripping the soul out of the RPG industry (I'm sure older RPG'rs will remember those days). There are several computer games based on the Warhammer battle system (both 40k and fantasy) the only two I can remember are Space Hulk and Shadow of the Horned Rat........but I know there are others out there. |

I don't exactly like Games Workshop either, though I still get their products. They overprice their stuff so much it's just plain annoying. They charge $30 for a box of unassembled plastic models, while they should sell it for way way less because of the plastic's quality. Their metal models are even worse. It costs $6-15 for two or three (sometimes even one) metal model that bends and breaks easily, and they usually have excess metal on some of the parts that get REALLY annoying. But the game is very fun, so I still play...

Some of my friends used to buy figures from any manufacturer that were cheaper.......GWorkshop conned a lot of people into believing that only the official figures could be used but really any figure that was 25mm scale would do (and often they were better, especially from the Ral Partha factory). Anyhow, I'm sure you'd rather be discussing the merits of the game rather than hear me moan about GWorkshop...... |

Silly me... I was thinking Warcraft instead of Warhammer.
In any case, this thread is probably a better fit in this forum.
