Easter...Bunny?

Okay I posted this in the previos poster but I think it deserves a thread of it's own. People say that the easter Bunny brings easter Eggs, but bunnies don't lay eggs. I guess the Cadbury bunny lays those eggs but thats a differnt kind of egg. So shouldn't be more like an easter chicken or an easter duck?

I once read a fable that went something like this:

One day Old Man Winter was ill. So Eoster, the spirit of Spring, went with her friend the Robin to wish him a speedy recovery. However, as they approached Old Man Winter's cave, he jumped out of bed, furious. He thought that they were taking advantage of his illness to bring spring early. Suddenly the air grew much colder and it started to snow. Eoster's friend the Robin grew so cold he was near death. In a panic, Eoster quickly turned him into a furry rabbit that could withstand the cold, and they went home. But Eoster had been very hasty with her shape-changing spell, and the Rabbit that had once been a Robin laid brightly-colored eggs.

Pointless, I know.

That a little bit of sense.

I refuse to lay eggs! This easter malarky is hard enough to get through as it is (j/k)

For the story why we have egg throwing rabbits at this time of year read this--------> Hopping through the ages

Eoster sounds like a bunny of Rohan. But I never thought that he lays those eggs. I always though he delivered them, like a mailman carrying a bunch of baskets in his magic bag. This comes as a surpise to me.

He trains vigorously for his big day next year. He has to keep in shape if he wants to deliver eggs to every house across the world.

Well, I usually go to the pub :/

The real Easter Bunny spends the rest of the year training his chickens to lay 5 million multi-coloured eggs

I happen to have photographic evidence of the origins of Easter Eggs, but I will refrain from posting the pic. Lemme just say it has nothing to do with birds being changed into rabbits to keep them warm...

Err - if yer still wondering, perhaps the term "F*ck like Rabbits" could help you out (let the little bugger out into the farmyard or set him loose in a chicken coup)

At least there are no chickens around here - the closest would be GW (he's been called an Eagle)

Oi, Coney, I don't want eggs made by you & Gwai Mind you, I thought about it - I also qualify, I have wings now see & all winged things lay eggs don't they? But if ye really want to rather do Gwai that's cool *licks wounds in corner*

Sween - was it a chocolate egg?
