But that is only because they don't read JRRT. Or if they have, they've only read The Hobbit (not IMO his best work). They only go see the movies. And some of them don't even do that.

And this is because they are not enlightened. They have not seen the Light of The Books! They do not bask in the glory of The Books!! They have not been touched by the wonders of The Books!!! And therefore, they have not been changed by The Books!!!!

I agree most of my friends haven't even seen the movies and when ever I or Elvellyn (we go to the same school) start talking about LOTR people either give us funny looks or roll their eyes. But thats ok because I confuse them with that only make sense to me!

ex. If the sky was red and my were blue how old is the earth? (not one of my best examples!)
