I grew up in Vancouver and considered it home base ( drifted around a fair bit) till I was about thirty- I haven't lived there for eighteen years, but still refer to it as "back home".

I always thought of myself more as British Columbian than Canadian - Toronto seemed as 'foreign' as Seattle or San Francisco.

I was born in New Westminster but left when I was 3, been in Blighty ever since. I still have one of the little plastic birth certificates. I can't remember much except a Flintstones park or something.

Yep, near Oxford, for my sins, great they must be. Some day I'll have to go back to Canada and see what it's like, though I hear the winters are harsh and the roads are straight, so belting around on my bike wouldn't be a lot of fun all the time. But really, some day, all I have for now are a few memories and a cut in my tongue I picked up while living in Vancouver, which is the sort of thing you do when you're a kid. And my old passport, with a picture of me when I was 3.

I have tons of BC pride, I love this province, and I believe in its sustainability, especially our forest industry.
