The Quote Game Part 2

Ok, here we go with part two. The same rules apply as before. I have copied and pasted the first post from the original thread that explains how to play unless any newcomers want to join in. I will add Unfinished Tales to the list of books we may quote from.

I have shamelessly stolen this game from Bacchus at the Tolkien Inklings forum at SF-Fandom, who stole it from the rabid Legolas fans on the Orlando Bloom forum at SF-Fandom. It was a smashing success. Basically, you take a quote and remove every second letter, and put a slash between words. Whoever identifies the quote and speaker posts the next one.

example: A_l/_h_t/_s/_o_d/_o_s/_o_/g_i_t_r

answer: All that is gold does not glitter, Gandalf's letter (or Bilbo Baggins)

Anything from The Hobbit, LOTR, the Silmaillion, or Unfinished Tales is fair game.

The last puzzle in the closed thread was only one word away from being solved. Since Eärniel got the correct speaker and we are in a new thread, she shall post the next quote.

Well, it just seems a bit pointless for threads to get too too long, cause then nobody wants to read them, so I close them in my forums after 100 pages. That's just me. Tater was the one way back when that said it would be all right, plus it is a way to get some threads that become redundant but yet have not had a violation closed. If a thread is interesting and stays on topic, or is a successful game such as this, or the "Riddle" thread, then it will be allowed to continue in a new thread. Like I said, that's just me and my forums. I think it cuts down on the clutter and keeps the forum a little better organized.

Ok. On with the game.
