Women Extras

The last time that I went to see TTT, my friend that went with me said that it appeared to her that some of the Elven archers that were with Haldir at Helms Deep were women. She also said that the scene at the Black Gate where Frodo and Sam were hidden under the Elven Cloak and looked like a rock laying there, that the two soldiers of Sauron that came over and was looking for them, that one of them was a woman. Did anyone else think this. I never did until she mentioned it.

Those soldiers are wearing a heavy eye liner that looks sort of Egyptian. The second soldier's eye make up is much darker than the first's. I don't know if that was intentional, but it does give the second soldier a more feminine appearance. I think that's what your friend saw.

I thought so, too. And I think Hama's "son" might have been played by a woman. I think they're setting up you know what.

I thought some of the elves at Helms Deep were women.

I didn't notice that any elves were women, but I did think that some of the Easterlings were, with all that black eyeliner.

Yes, that might very well be. Good point.

I did notice that, I think they did use women extras for those presumably male roles. But I think the son of Hama was a boy.

wait, im lost, what's you know what? and what does it have to do with women extras?

(im not perverted, but i just wanted to know for sure if there were any lady archers at helms deep, so just look at their chest-areas. The cloaks are so tight across that i think you'd be able to tell.)

and you can look at their faces about 25 % of the time too.

Well, I don't know how much good it would do to look at their chest areas. If they are women, and the super model types, they have little or no boobies.

They could also have been bound.

Yeah, looking at that is pretty much worthless.

Okay, so we've decided not to bother looking at their "boobies"?

Yeah, I'd say look at the beards first.

I was a bit shocked when I first saw the FOTR and noticed women archers at Lothlorien, but I didn't notice any women archers at Helms Deep. I had an argument with someone who reckoned Hama's son was a girl. I said he was a boy. I hope he doesn't read this, poor kid.

Women archers? I think it's more likely that male Elves are supposed to look more or less feminine in the film.

There were no women archers in Lothlorien. Are you talking about the two archers behind Haldir? They're both played by men.

I have heard that there were women extras at Helm's Deep.

Haleth, son of Hama was a boy.
