All the Kings Men

I just finished it. AN interesting book-and since I'm taking poli-sci, quite relevant. What do you think?

I have never read the book myself, but my mom met the author. When she was in college, she had a part time job with the head English professor. The author of All the King's Men was coming to meet with some students to discuss the book. One student couldn't make it, so the professor asked my mom to go. One problem: She was a freshman with all seniors. And the bigger problem? She wasn't scheduled to read the book until sophmore year.

Is that an alternative telling of the Akallabeth?
