I got FotR soundrack, the red one-volume LotR, the green Hobbit to match it, and the rare, out-of-print The Road Goes Ever On And On. (I'm learning to play the song of that name on my flute as we post.)
Also some non-LotR items, but they're all pretty boring, except for a guide to calligraphy which I hope to apply to Elvish script.

eight inches of snow, too!
It's done, I'm happy! My mom got me a gorgeous new coat. It's super thick lush acrylic pile, reversible. One side is solid black, the other black, grey and white, a scene of mountains and pines weaved into it. It has a great "Strider" style hood, and is three quarter length, perfect for jeans or ankle length skirts. It reminds me of Mouton Lamb (anyone remember those coats?) I also got a silky night thing , J-Lo "Glow" (yea!), Elizabeth Arden "Beauty" Mmmmmm!, a "Flower Fairy" statue for the garden, and a homemade calender. I bought myself several Lotr items!

I got the sheet music to "When in Dreams" from the FOTR soundtrack from my little sister and I was so happy I started crying. I also got the American radio adaption of TTT from My aunt as well as a wall calendar (something I was SOO happy to get. I was THRILLED to DEATH) with pics from TTT (Two Frodo Pics...I couldn't be happier). Some fuzzy posters from My mom and the veiwing of TTT on the 18th counted as part of my Christmas too.
$80.00 from my other grandma and aunt (some to savings and church the rest to...you got it...MORE LOTR stuff) a box of Ferrero Rocher chocolates, and some hair clips. Oh and another veiwing of LOTR from my Big Brother and with my Big brother on the 30th. But I got one of the best gifts last night...peace and joy. Something I hadn't felt at Christmas for quite some time. Last year was darksome I guess. This year though it felt good not to feel enslaved to my presents or how many presents I got. Cheers *lifts up mug of hot cider* Sam

I got this really cool CD collection which has JRR and Christopher Tolkien reading selections from the books. (Mostly poems.) I was thrilled. I kept telling myself... "I'm actually listening to Tolkien's voice! This is wonderful!" Yeah. That was fun. Then I got a coat and a CD player and a bracelet and my class ring and a book and $45. It was quite a good Christmas. MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

The only LotR-related thing I got was two sculpted figures of Frodo and Sam. They're going on my mantle right next to the sculpture of Gandalf.

Grr. I got lots and lots of wonderful pressies, but NONE, not one of them was LotR-related! Eh, well. Now that I have $120 worth of gift certificates to Border's Books and Music, I can buy myself lots of pretty LotR stuff. Happy.
