Foxtrot Comic Strip

Does anyone get this in their newspaper? They've been spoofing the movie this week! It's quite well done, IMO. It's also a very Tolkien-fan oriented spoof... They talk about mithril and balrogs, so if you haven't read LOTR, you really don't know what they're talking about. If your paper doesn't carry this strip, you can see it here:

I'm enjoying it too. Today's was particularly funny. The two of them having memorized the entire LOTR. (My parents think I have done that, but I have a long way to go before I have reached that point)

I saw one that they did for SW last summer. This is from memory...... Vader, Luke, Leia, Chewy, Admiral Ackbar (weird)....and maybe someone else, are standing in a row next to each other. In the next frame you see Jason playing with his SW figures, and with his head turned towards his dad he says, "I like watching them line up to see me."

I love Foxtrot. They did a great job with TPM and the Star Wars special edition too... same kind of idea. Absolutely hilarious. As soon as I heard about how they were doing LOTR this week I got my newspapers out of the pile that was going to be recycled this coming weekend and clipped them out.

Hehehehe.
