I've come up with an idea for a new RPG. I just want to toss it out there and see if anyone's interested.

A UCLA archaeology professor and her third year students are investigating the area around an extinct volcano sitting directly on the San Andreas Faultline when they discover a strange ring. Not having any explanation as to its origin or why the skeleton attached to it was not melted in the magma spewing from the volcano at the time that the ring must have been thrust there, sthey begin to ask questions. But the more they find out about it, the stranger their behavior becomes...

NOte: This is current day. So therefore, I don't want any characters with Elvish blood or dwarvish blood (at least not any that know it). It will be all humans, excepting one person (in human form) who tells them a thing or two about the Ring. Please PM me or post here if you're interested. Please don't post characters just yet, as I wish to see who all is interested before I start.

Sure I'd like to join. It souds like lots and lots of fun. Summers almost over and school starts in about 2 weeks so I may not have alot of time.

I'm glad to get at least some kind of response. Hey-- I'm starting school soon, too, so don't worry. And with 2 sciences and Calc, I'm going to be swamped. But we can do this. I'll post what characters I need now so you guys can start thinking about what you'd like to be. I'll probably take the role of the prof.

Professor of Archaeology
2-3 Main Archaeology students (the others can be public chars)
At least one other Arch teacher
A close friend of the Prof
One weird student who's read LOTR and whom everyone thinks is nuts cuz he thinks this is the One Ring.

Any that aren't taken can become public chars....

Those are the necessaries

She finished high school only 7 months ago, and she just arrived on what ever day we're starting. She's getting her masters in psychology. Oh, and she's obsessed with Lord of the Rings

I'll be call Mr. Emrys. I am actually Merlin (just listen) but i don't know it and Merlin is one who is half elf. Currently I'm a lawyer going by the name of Myrrdin Emrys.
This way we can tie in the legend of King Arthur and Excalibur as well to make it even better!
