Sindar great warriors?

First, I just want to say thank you to Doug for answering.

I was aware of their musical gifts but I wasn't aware of their martial prowess.

I assumed it was mostlty the Noldor in great wars of the first age because Thingol didn't wish to be involved with the Sons of Feanor

I think there is something about the Noldor on the whole being better warriors. It was their overall innate power bequethed to them by the Holy Ones, I guess. Many Grey-elves were involved in the same wars the Noldor were. Don't forget that they were mingled in many places, especially the Fingolfinian realms.
