Literacy Survey(Please read and answer!)

In math class at my school we were assigned to choose a topic, make up five questions about it and survey at 20 people using those questions. The topic I choose was books and I figured that the people on this message board would be good people to survey. All you have to do is answer these five questions:

1) Do you like to read?

2)About how many books do you read in a month?

3)About how long(in hours) does it take you to read a 200 page book of medium difficulty?

4)What is your favorite genre:
Fanstasy
Science Fiction
Mystery
Non-Fiction
General Lit.

5)Who is your favorite author?

Thank You!

1. Very much so.
2. If I rounded it... 30 (A book a day keeps the doctor away.)
3. One hour, 23 minutes, 38 secs (my sister timed me.)
4. Fantasy
5. Veeeerrrrry close tie between J.R.R. Tolkien and J.K. Rowling, but J.R.R. T wins by a fractional amount (If you like, you can just put down J.K. R for variety )

Queen of prolonged unexplained absences and long, loooong car rides.

Well, hullo everyone. As you can see, I don't hang out here muchly anymore. There's a good reason for this. Y'see, I've been hanging out at a different chatboard called Cardboardia. So far, I've been havin' a blast. Not that I don't love the TLA, but the magic of Entmoot is lost on me. So, as soon as TLA ends, so will my existance here, probably.

Who knows though? I might stay. Highly unlikely however. This is a good bye in advance, then. Unless you want to join me and my group of friends at Cardboardia.

Cheers!

1) Hell yeah.

2) Depends on the length of the works, and the time I have. Could be anywhere from 1 to 8...

3) I'm not sure how difficulty has anything to do with length... it really depends on how involved and invested I am in a given book as a result of the quality of the prose. I'll make a guess and say three hours. That's probably way off in either direction, though.

4) What kind of books do I like to read? Good ones. As is also the case with my opinion on film, genre is nothing.

5) I'm tempted to say Tolkien just because The Lord of the Rings is my favourite novel, but it's hard to make such a judgment because Tolkien produced such a small body of work. So I really don't know how to answer this question...

1. mmmm.......YES!!! Of course! That's pretty much all I do...

2. About 3 to 5? Not sure...

3. 2 or 3 I think.

4. Fantasy

5.My favorite author is either J.R.R. Tolkien or J.K Rowling.
(feeling really original right now..... )

Could I add on a question? What is your favorite book after LotR?

Mine would be either the Odessey(misspelled most likely...), Harry Potter, or The Giver.
