LOTR Tatoos

What would make a really cool LOTR tatoo?
Maybe something written in elvish or a symbol. Something not too obvious.

Any ideas?

Well all of the fellowship apart from John Rhys Davis has a tattoo of the elvish for nine. And Elijah Wood is thinking about having the sword wound mark done on his chest.

I think Tolkien signature symbol would be really cool and if you were REALLY ambitious a map of middle earth on your back!!!

Maybe i'll have that one day!

Does it say in the books if any of the characters have tattoos? Because you could copy that (and make the madness complete...). I'd be too scared to have a tattoo though

I really want a tattoo of the tengwa for m (it's kind of my letter, just seems to pop up in everything I do).

But then again, I also really want a replica weapon of some kind (sword or bow), neither of which I am likely to get.

As to your actual question I would say, pick something that you think represents you and find out how to write it in elvish.

Actually, yes, it's possble. Tattoo artists have been around for thousands of years, they just didn't have the modern tattooing kit that's available these days....

IF I were getting a tattoo, IF and I wont just IF. I would PROBABLY get a Ring on my shoulder where the arm and neck connect. Or I might get an elanor flower put on my foot or ankle. Or maybe Frodo Lives on my forearm written up the length. But I would probably get the Elanor on my foot, If i were to get a tattoo.

YES YES I HAVE SEEN THAT ONE! (no surprise really!)

It was called Nevr Again and the tatoo was called Betty (I think)

My dad really wants a tatoo but I hate the way they fade after a while. Right accross the chest you good get a blarog with wings spread out an dunderneath "It DOES have wings!"

I think Sean Bean got the Elvish number 9 on his arm. I think I would like an elvish number, but I'm not very familiar with them. I think Frodo Lives! on my arm would be cool.
BTW stramberry, David Wenham has been in a few TV shows and movies here in Australia and has a large umm, female following.

Seen that one. I'm still convinced my sister wanted a tattoo because of that episode. Now she has an ourobouros on her hip.
