So whats your record for seeing the Lord of the Rings movie

I've seen it 3 times already !!

only two! Ive been sick every time i get the chance to go see it again!

Im going again real soon thiough so i can see the trailer.

eowyn seen it 5 times and a couple of girls at scholl have seen it 6 or 7 times!

There was this interview (I think in New York, not sure) where PJ asked the audience to stand up and not to sit down until he counted up to the no. of times they watched it. There was one lady who reportedly said she got up to 31. PJ then told her that his only worry is that she might miss the 5:30 show.

BTW, 'watched it 8 times on the big screen. Half those times I had to be bribed with a free ticket by different friends who wanted me around for Q&A.

as strawberry has KINDLY already stated i have seen it 5 times but didn't pay 4 all of them.
will be going to see it again when trailer is put on the end but will miss it's first viewing as i will be in egypt!

31 times is pushing it i reckon, but when the video comes out i could probably top that in a week!

I've seen it 6 times. I was really hoping to like it as much as everyone else. If it wasn't LOTR I would have only have seen it once. I tried getting my 3 cousins to go - but they think it's stupid and refuse to see it. I'll go one more time at the end of March to see what they add to the end.

it took four days to download it, but it took about a week to find a copy that worked and didn't have asian subtitles, crowd noise, or that odd blue halogen tint.
my comp doesn't shut off when the internet is idle, so it took four days w/o shutting off, downlaoding with my 56K off of kazaa

BTW, here in southeast asia, bootlegged DVD's are all over and selling for about a quarter the price of a new one in flea markets.

People can get bootlegged copies of movies on the streets of NY. The Seinfeld episode is true - people do go into the theaters with cameras in NY and film the movies. It's just sucky quality. I'll wait until it comes out on the official DVD.

In 1985 my father got Snow White on video - years before it was available. If you don't mind hearing people talking in the background, sucky sound and people getting up - then I guess it's alright.

That's true for most VCD's here. I don't know how they get their masters for the DVDs but they were not shot from a handycam. Lately I watched at a friend's house and it was definitely not taken from a theatre. It had Dolby 5.1 and 2.0 tracks on it as well as 2 teasers and the latest FOTR trailer.

I've seen it 5 times so far (only 5!). But my friend's sister has a copy of the DVD, and I'm hoping to be able to borrow it and burn copies (slightly illegal, but this is LotR we're talking about!).
