Unfinished Tales

I'm in the midst of reading my brand new unfinished tales.

My personal favorites so far (having not read tuor or turin's tales) is the druedain story. It's very interesting.

What's your favorite?

I just finished Aldarion and Erendis...it was a very sad story, but made me think of how selfishness and pride can corrupt even good and loving people. It was certainly an "eye-opener," as Sam would say.

But I love Turin, too...that's actually my favorite story in the whole collection of Tolkien's books. (So far.)

I've never read Aldarion and Erendis, I've been meaning to.

My favourite is definitely Of Tuor and His Coming To Gondolin. Very moving. Though, my favorite character is Sador in the Narn-I-Hin-Hurin.

I agree. The Tale of Tuor in UT was excellent. I loved Voronwe.

Gollum

I'm reading "Unfinished Tales" too! So far I'm halfway in Turin's story. But I think I'm going to cry before it is over...

Turin's story is harsh, but I wish he finished up Gondolin...
