Maybe that could be Peter Jacksons cameo role...

What did Radagast actually do in his stay in Middle-Earth? I think he was in the white council and was involved in the storming of Dol Guldor.

Did he do anything else in any other writing and was there any description of what his personallity was like and what was his appearance?

I wrote a fairly long post on Radagast, pushed the back button to review your post Comic Book Guy, and found that not only could I not return to my post-in-progress but that I was suddenly logged out. So I'll try again later. Alert the media.

Why didn't you just scroll down and look at the topic review below? As for informing the media, what do you mean?

1st Q.)Because I'm an idiot.

2nd Q.)It was a joke. It's quite unnecessary for me to make an announcement about making a post later. Kind of ridiculously formal. A while back someone told me: 'I'll alert the media Randy' (they called me Randy when my name was Ranadwelt).

Really? I thought we called you randy because of that time you got caught looking at xander's artwork and...

Right. Kiddy board.

Hmmm... Interesting. But considering the other things that have been cut or changed, I would be quite surprised if they did add Radagast. Wouldn't he add unnecessary complexity? If they had to edit Bombadil, why add Radagast?
I suppose he could be an unnamed cameo. That would make sense if they played out Gandalf's tale at the council as a mini-movie scene.

Out of curiosity, Inoldonil, why did you change your name?
(Actually, I've been thinking of changing my name too.)

Thanks for the self-editing Shannon

I never have the same name in different forums, just for variety. I've been Arato-Eva-Aldar, Mellon-o-Gwae, Ranadwelt, Inoldonil, Lorco, Taurfea, Falmaion and more besides. 'Lorco Books' was actually my original name here on Entmoot. But I loathe the nick-name 'Randy', and feel uncomfortable when European posters address me as it. Better not call myself 'Ranadwelt' again, lest I be called 'Randy' again.

I heard that because Radagast wasn't in the movies, they have Gandalf esape by sending a moth as a messenger to the eagles. I can't confirm that -- I don't remember where I read it -- but I always accepted the fact that Rdagast was cut.

Maybe I'm wrong.

A moth just doesn't make sense, Peter Jackson would never do that, it will be most likely an Eagle or Gandalf goes to Orthanc of his own accord and then the Eagles then rescue him due to a warning given to them by Gandalf before he enters Isengard.

I heard Peter Jackson say once that he didn't like Clichéd fantasy with Wizards shooting lighting from their fingertips and plenty of silly, talking animals.
