Sssshh! Surprise...

Mari walked out of the Teacup into the sun while yawning and stretching a bit.
She looked up at the sky and had to smile. Today would be a good and sunny day!
And a busy one...

"Well, I hope he'll appreciate it, because keeping things secrets ain't easy and organizing a party is a lot of work. Now let's see..."

She looked at a list in her hand. A rather long list.
Some things had been crossed off already, like setting up a bandstand, getting the lawn mowed, ordering a lot of blankets to picnic on. Things like the cake, music and presents would be taken care of later. For now, she had to get someone to do some wiring, put up lights around the lawn for in the evening etc.

Something slipped out of her papers, but Mari didn't notice it as she walked on trying to think of what else needed to be done.

Someone else did see it however, and came to pick it up and read it.
This is what it said:

To all citizens of this wonderful country.
Today is the birthday of our former president Hector!
A party will be held on the lawn from 2 PM

YOU ARE INVITED!!

Please bring food, drinks or music and of course bring a present.

The person reading the invitation snickered upon reading it. This would be quite something. Some planning was necessary...
stealthily the person snuck off with an evil grin...

Gw entered the park where the festivities were to be held, his ghettoblaster loaded with the coolest music ever -the soul and pop bands of the 60s.

Behind the Band was playing the theme from Raiders on an endless loop.

Mari waved at GW, looking around to see if everything was set.
Hmm, the party was looking good to go. Somehow, they had managed to get everything ready in time. The cake wouldn't be done for another hour or so, but there were drinks on a table and the blankets for the picnic and the cutlery and plates were all set.

Mari placed her present for Hector on the table she had designated for that particular purpose and sat down with some homework, waiting for other guests to show up and the party to get properly started.

Mari looked up to see that Acally and Andreas had joined the party. Suddenly she saw a movement from the corner of her eyes. She turned her head around and saw Hector moving towards a table.

"Hector! What are you doing here!?" She tried to think of who was responsible for keeping Hector away until everyone had gathered and then realized why she'd had that nagging feeling she'd forgotten something... >_<

"Well, now that you are here, do join us!"
She pointed to the blankets and was wondering if they should start with the presents already or wait some more for people to show up.
"Can I get you something to drink? Or anyone else?" she asked, looking around at everyone gathered.
