I used to clean in hotels and the rule was: you don't pick up ornaments and if it looks clean, it is clean. But we didn't have glasses, actually used hot water, didn't use the same towel for the bathroom and the bedroom etc. but still.
You can't clean an entire floor in a timespan of 5 maybe 6 hours. It sucks.
