1-minute lesson in what it takes to create beauty

Just in case you ever wanted to know exactly how much 'airbrushing' is involved in static advertising.

Got a minute?

*by airbrushing, I mean all the alterations pre and post photography that go into a poster/billboard/magazines etc...

Interesting!

I tell my kids all the time that you make the best (within reason) of what you have outside, but what's inside is the part that's really important.

I've seen that video before. It would have had more impact if Dove wasn't just trying to get you to buy their soap.

Does this mean Dove uses "regular" attractive people, like the pre-made up pre-airbrushed model in the video? Or do they use those techniques just like everybody else?

I don't have a TV anymore, but last time I saw a Dove ad, it was pretty run-of-the-mill, by which I mean airbrushed and etc. just as much as everybody else.

Still, I agree with the video, if I was prepared to separate its motives from its meaning.
